where do i begin who honestly likes girl power sorry but this game was the worst ever final fantasy ever!! the story line took about 5 minutes to complete and who cares about extra missions in the chapters. There were only three characters on the entire game rikku was a good character in 10 but now she needs to dump some hormones and calm down yuna from a cool summoner to filthy prozy on 10-2 what has happend to square was it the name change or what? square soft to square enix whats up with that?

The music was so cheesy on this game i could not believe it i thought they got a porn director to compose it i mean they got rid of the classic celebration theme tune of final fantasy HOW CAN you get rid of that its sacred!!!!!. So as you can see i really HATE this game with a PASSION i really loved final fantasy 10 and i thought there was no need for a sequel to a classic game it shows that they have failed this time. :(

x is my favourate final fantasy of all time and IMO i didnt see the need for a sequel, even though the ending of 10 was a sad one i guess, it kind of worked.

i feel the storyline of 10-2 was kind of thrown together just so it wasnt as obvious that the whole game was just about getting tidus back.

i dont hate hate 10-2, i found it a little dissapointing because 10 was such a great game, but i did like the battle system and how you could change dresspheres in the battle. i found that kinda funky

X and X-2 dont go comparing them on two deferent bases i consider X and X-2 one game really they kinda did need a sequel because tidus in the ocean at the end that did not solve alot hes still stuck in spira missing old zanarkand stuck in the middle of the ocean and well X-2 i dont know how else they reeally could of made a game maby a movie would solve that but a game just for the whole yuna missing tidus thing the X and X-2 game (as i consider them one game) was my favorite storyline but im not gonna go off topic talking about something else now anyways X was the winner but there are some who like X-2 over X thats all i got to say

x-2 was a poor game but it wasn't THAT bad. yes square really went down but i still couls play it there were some good parts!!!
i love the idea of the dresspheres!! goes back!

The best way to play ffx-2 is laughing.

I liked it-- I *wanted* to get tidus back (ffx's ending makes me cry:/).

I found the stuff about vegnagun and spira's past interesting. The girl power stuff was cheezy, but when Rikku's in charge, honestly, what do you expect?

The music was different. Now, after being exposed to both of them, it reminds me of some of the music in Trigun. I'm not entirely sure why, but that's the impression I got when watching it-- 'hey now.. is this the old west or spira? @.@@@@@@@@' It was made to fit the theme of 'w00t we are GIRLS:D'

But seriously, it was made for mostly two reasons:

1) to make people like me feel better after ffx (*wails*), and
2) to make money.

You go into it knowing that both of these are true, and you take it at face value. Treat it like a game, not some sacred porceline doll that you shouldn't touch in case it'll break.

FFX-2 won't break, and it can stand being roughed around. The side-stories are just as important as the main storyline (there ARE other people in spira besides yuna, and we deserve to know about them as well) and in some cases much more. . . fulfilling (bevelle chapter 5, case in point)

Obviously, if I like it as well as I do, it wasn't a failure.

Okay, I'm just going to take a few deep breaths so I can regain some self control. I haven't finished FFX-2 but I'm on chapter 5, so it can't get THAT bad in the last half of chapter 5, can it? I mean, please, the girl power thing gets a little annoying after a while, but if it wasn't there you'd be over here complaining about something else, like lack of enthusiasm or something... Now I don't mean to offend anyone, but I really think X-2 was at the very least decent. It by far didn't make the standards of X, but few RPGs do. While the new, more jazzy style of music can get on your nerves if you stay in one place for a while, such as the Thunder Plains or Djose Temple, it was, to say the least, fitting. I kinda wish they had Uematsu do the music for this one though... While anyone could say that the graphics were the same, I don't think they used the good, and I mean, really good graphics as often as in X, only for really special things such as the intro and the Thunder Plains concert. I'm not sure if that's really a spoiler but I'll do it just to be sure. While Yuna's new personality is annoying around the beginning, you learn that that's a wonderful addition to the story, that she has begun a new life, a new story. Overall, I think it is a decent game and can't wait to see the ending.

Yeah i know what you are all are trying to say and i dont like the game because of the fact the main character is female i thought that was good, i mean it has been a while since the main character was female like in FF6. Its just my opinion like any other person and i thought the game was capable of a lot better and another thing that bugs me about this game is the fact that OMEGA WEAPON and ULTIMA WEAPON are normal battles i mean :confused: what the hell??? weapons are supposed to be the kick ass creatures of Final Fantasys, i think they have gone to far doing this on ffx-2 by making omega weapon and ultima weapon weak and pathetic. omega weapon and ultima has been used through many final fantasys like 5, 8, and 10 was Omega he was one of the best challenges on each of those games i just thought it was stupid to do that. And the ultima weapon being relly good on FF7, and FF8, FFX-2????????? what a joke.......

It's logical that Yuna would follow her lead. Yuna is more or less a emotional sponge, and she draws a great deal from the people around her. (I'm the same way a lot of times -_-)

As long as she was in Besaid with the satisfied people there, X-2 would've never happened. The people there were happy, so she had herself thinking she was happy.

Kimarhi goes and finds the sphere and gives it to Rikku to show Yuna (because of course Rikku would go jet-setting across spira, she can't keep still for more than five seconds:P)

And then, hanging with Rikku, without the steadying effect of the other people who were her guardians, like in X, she starts absorbing the way Rikku reacts.

Remember when she's all 'poopie!' and they stare at her for saying something so unher? She practically says it's because of her being around Rikku.

And this fits in exactly with the way she was in X. If Tidus hadn't showed up, she would've never had another thought about going and dying for Spira. Rikku compounded the problem, which was probably why she got the courage enough to say No to Yunalesca.

It's just the way she is:) If it had been Paine she had hung out with for two years, she would be dressing in black listening to Emo^_^

These are better in FFX-2: Less Tidus, far better battle system and character developement system (talking about the jobs now).

I personally can bear with a bit blerg story and music if it's fun to fight. I find it very fun to actually fight in FFX-2, much more than in FFX.
While I agree the story of FFX is better, FFX-2's isn't really worthless either. We've got the Den of Woe and Via Infinito. Those areas reveal a lot of Spira's and the characters backgrounds.

Yuna and Rikku are not sluts. I'm not a big fan of their new costumes either, but they're not sluts. Sluts are girls who go around and sleep with every male they meet. I don't see Yuna and Rikku doing those things.

FF X-2 was a decent game. I got sick and tired of the girls always being "second best" and always being portrayed and damsels-in-distress (sadly enough, many heroines, even the strong ones, fall victim to that role). I love how the girls were portrayed as strong and indepedent people who don't need a male to burp them or save them every five minutes. I'd rather have the girls kick butt, then to have them say, "SAVE ME!"

Hey, I´ve already played FFX-2 and I got to say It´s a little disapointing, it´s something different at all. When you put the Disc on and you see all that "pop concert FMV" and then you heard those dialogs, you know it , I saw it with some friends and they told me "You are not going to spend your time in this game right ?". Well, It´s a litll e bit ashaming to play it with other people, lets say is a "alone" game. the game is soo long than normal because I wanted to end it fast fast, And those endings.... :( well... . I prefered Yuna from X , was a lot more misterious and beautifull (Those Dancing FMV ), Rikku, she was my prefered fighter on X, and she got less clothes in this one, something very eye cathing (she can turn you on while kicking a boss , yipeee! :p ) and... where the f.... is Lulu ? , she was the hottest in FFx and now she´s pregnant ?, I wanted really to kill that wakka, but well. disapointings FMV , I was TIRED to press the jump buttom , confusing but energetic battle system, There was a Storyline ?, Different music it sticks in your brain , what can I do for you tan tan tan , the best graphics in the serie , and the WORST endings ever.

My first FF was VIII and My heart goes faster everythime I see the intro , I feel sorry for those player who begin the FF mania with this experimental game , X was a 10 and this is a merely 6 , this is just my opinion there are people that love this game , but believe me, I played it just because I was loyal To the FF signature , it almost change that (not yet) I spent like 80 hours on it and it was gone from my mind in 8 seconds , that didn´t happen with any other FF....what I was talking about ?.

He never got off topic. The tread is about whenever FFX2 is crapp or not. And compared to the other FFs it is nothing but crap. However... it had some fun parts like Via Infinito etc. But there's much I hate about this game.

first off, PLEASE learn proper grammar and use punctuation when needed. x.x Your sentences ramble and it's a pain to read.

Next point, what exactly is wrong with girl power? Shall we all just bow down to the will of men and be housewifes all over again? >.>

Finally, the game was OPTIONAL to play. No one took a gun to your head and said: "BUY THIS OR I'LL SHOOT!" If you didn't like it, pretend you never played it and convince yourself that the story ended where X10 left off. The music sounded NOTHING like porn music, it's a magical musical genre called Pop, and Jazz. I understand it's not everyone's cup of tea, but deal with it.

BTW, I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure that Square Soft became Square Enix because two gaming companies merged to form one. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I truely see no other reason for them to change the name.

Further more, if you didn't like the game, why waste your time playing it, or ranting about it? Spend some time buying FF1 and 2 for GBA, conquering them, and then sit in a corner and rot while waiting for FF12 to come out. ^-^ That's what I'd do.

I did enjoy the battles, it was a nice change from the 'strategic' battles of FFX. I found the in-battle comments amusing too. The 'New Game Plus' was a feature that I was glad to see, although that was as much because of a similar ability in another game, rather than what it added to the game itself. Sure, there were more than a few painful moments, and it isn't really a game that a guy can play in view of others (my hentai flatmate was making a few too many comments for my liking!), but overall I liked the game.

I agree the 10 series was so dire, but alot of people who hate it dont come to the ff10 fourms, so you wont get much backup, and you have to uunderstand alot of ff10 fans are new and only started playing after 8 or 10 may well be there first final fantasy, 10 was so bad its a crime against humanity. Square Enix better churn out something good soon. What annoyed me was the change in target buyers and the move to rpg/action, curse those fiends.

i agree with both sides on different topics. I'm a girl, but still, i HATE a lot of the girly nonsense that happens in the game. I'm not a huge fan of the battle system, but i like the jobs system. i really like a lot of the npc's such as baralai, nooj, and gippal. their stories were good in conjunction with the whole vegnagun/shuyin/lenne thang. the music was meh. the mini games... meh. it was an average run of the mill game. X was by far superior, as most "part one" games are. however, bear in mind that the main reason this game was thrown together so fast and so sloppily IMHO was because there was a HUGE uproar by die-hard FF fans that were unable to play FF11. I am a truely die hard fan of final fantasy, but i have no internet at home, and really no patience to spend so much and go thru so much hassle for one game..sorry. i realize that's no one else's problem, but it is mine, and many others' as well, and it pissed us off. This is why, my friends, Square-Enix threw out FFX-2. same reason why Resident Evil Survivor is poisoning the title's fans... something had to be done to quelch the anger of those opposed to Resident Evil games going to every other gaming platform out there except PS2. I mean, i did go so far as to buy two other entire gaming systems just to get Res Evil games (GameCube and Dreamcast), so I know desperation for a new game, and have willingly succumbed. but what they were asking for to play FF11 was just beyond ridiculous and stupid. so, although the game was not without it's good parts, it was obviously tossed together like a "please shut up and play this until we finish up FF12" salad.

Well i have FFX-2,but to be honostly i don't play it as much as my other Final Fantasies..this has nothing to do witht he story or that you only have 3 characters..i am all fine with that,it's just i really don't like the fight system of FFX-2,i rather had the normal FF one..now,it feels like have to rapidly press buttons to make quick attack or else it will take forever to kill something..
