Swords, guns, knifes, rods, gloves, whips or any other ?

Mine is the gunblade.

I love swords
my favorite are scimitars, long swords, sabers and katanas
i just love the different techniques in which you can wield a blade
and it's poetry in motion when you can use it properly
it's beautiful when you can slice a person apart in one clean slash across the chest
anyone who can wiled a sword properly has my heart automatically :love:

Spears are nice..I wonder why there are few or no battle axes...nothing like a double bladed labrys to slice and dice through the armor! :radred:

I voted for swords simply because they are the best. Every game I've played has them, and they are usually the most powerful weapons in the game (apart from certain magicks and summons). You've got the Illumina and Atma Weapon in 6, the Ultima Weapon, the Ragnarok and the Musamune/Murasame (whichever is Sephiroth's) in 7, the Lionheart in 8, Excalibur II in 9, the Caladbolg and the Musamune in 10, and whatever the name of Paine's Dark Knight sword is in X-2. Having said all that, I do think that spears/lances are cool too/

wow alot of people love swords, i don't like swords =[ i'd rather go for a faster weapon like a good pair of daggers/katars. i don't kno if i'm the only one but i always loved agi characters.

i think you forgot to put the heavy weapons(Axe, Hammer etc ...) i'm pretty sure that alot of people just loves em.

I put guns. All my favorite character in FF games used guns it seems. Plus I'm damn good with one myself.

Vincent, Irvine, Paine as a gunner was TOTALLY Hott. Mustadio rules. And the entire Mediator class in FFT is the most uniquely useful job in history. Sure Calcs and Ninjas rule too, but for the pacifist, mediators are great, and if the going gets tough, blow your opponents brain out. Also Edgar had a few tools that were guns. Not FF, but CC's Norris rocked hardcore, you must admit.

Gunblades are my exception. Not a fan of the gunblade. Made no sense to me. If you have a gun, why slash first, just shoot the fudger.

But when there are no guns at my disposal, Swords are the way to go. I like Bows but there hasn't been and primary archers. BOO SQUARE!
