X or X-2?

I dont know if anyone has already asked this question, but what do i care?

I think X is much better than X-2, the story is much deeper and more adventurus, where as x-2 is more missionary

I don't know why everyone hates x-2. It was the first Final Fantasy i ever bought and it made me want to play every single Final Fantasy game (Even though i know that it will never happen).
I like them both the same.

I agree with emily. x2 is the reason that i got so addicted to ps2 games. x's battle situation isn't that good. x2's is more fun and it keeps you alert. :D i also think that the dress spheres are fun. they are so cool. :D

Story goes to X, can't argue with it. X-2, gotta admit, battle system was really cool...but my vote goes to FFX

X-2 gets my vote. Don't get me wrong, X was a great game, but I liked X-2 better. X-2 has an excellent story, the best characterization the makers of FF games have ever done, and an insanely awesome battle system. It's nice to see a female lead and how well they achieved that, and Paine is awesome.

I dont hate x-2, the battle system is great, but theres no sphere grid, and quite frankly, i prefer to use the sphere grid... And you cant get as much hp as you can on ffx :D Also, i would prefer it if you didnt have to go through it 2 times to complete it... Besides, usualy in triolgy games or movies, the 2nd is no where near as good as the first

FFX anyday that game was great :D unlike FFX-2 which sucks i thought there was no need for a sequel to such a great game like 10.

i didnt feel that X-2 was all that nesecary, i liked the way the story ended in X,

i am glad that they did a 10-2 tho, because 10 is my favourate

10-2: a fun game, i dont play it to take the plot seriously, i just play it to have fun

i was stuck on seymour at mount gagazet for ages, so what i did was this

got all my ppl overdrives

got all my aeons overdrives

whooped seymour with overdrives then got the aeons out

you get one move with the aeon before he banishes them so use the overdrive

use hastega if possible as it helped me.

have the characters with highest hp out for most of the battle incase he uses crosscleave

have yuna out for the aeons

If you played FFX first you would probably say you like it the best like me FF7 is like my fav but thats because it was my first.
Not necessarily, i liked X because the story line was more emotional, and i liked X-2 because you could choose where you could go, and choose what missions you wanted to do and all that stuff. I honestly think that both games are equally great for different reasons. It has nothing to do with me playing X-2 first. :D

In my opinion, X was more into action and adventure, it focused more on the mission and the fighting...as X-2 has more of drama...and some o my friends consider it to be a musical...but I still think they are both good...

i did like X-2 a hell of a lot, however X was just miles better. The sphere grid and the battle system where exxelent and it's the first FF i felt i couild get into and level up easily without having to try very much, you know i hate having to sit around for ages and level up. But i feel they could have done somthing better with the level up system, made it easier to get S.lvls but hey.

in conclusion, X was much better that X-2

Well um..to say this, I like X better, I bought X-2 on the first day and sold it the week after!!! I thought it was horrible. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT play X-2 Before X then you won't think X is better than X-2. X is longer, cooler, more fun (I would use funner but that is not a word) more characters and it's just...COOlER! X-2 has about the same graphics but I think a tiny bit better, they put to much effort into the Graphics. X-2 just RUINED the whole storyline of X. X was a calm, emotional tragic game that is serious and sad. Now in X-2 it's just OOO IT'S FUN AND JUMPY! LET'S ALL GO FIND TIDUS! LA-DI-DA-DI-DA! Now that screwed up the whole game.

On Topic: FFX-2 and FFV had female main characters, FFX-2 was all Charlie Angel like and too, yuck. FFV was more... FF-like and they had 3 female main characters and 1 male character.

They took the whole romaticness out of X with X-2. I felt no emotion whatsoever when I saw the good ending. With X though, I found I cried at the ending scene. THEY WERE SO PERFECT FOR EACH OTHER!!
Also, did anyone find that the ending to X seemed so..... finished? I did. X just seemed to tie everything up nicely.

while X-2 does have its cheesy moments (charlies angels anyone?) I believe that X isnt complete without it, playing through the few bad parts is well worth the perfect ending.

Well, to be honest, X is a much better game. i think that the elements that make X-2 an enjoyable game would have been used in a new game in the series, not a rehash of what was a perfect story in X.
In the game, yuna speaks of the dishgonour done to zanarkand by having tourists there. i think, tho enjoyable, X-2 is sort of like that. X was amazing on its own... i try to look at X-2 as a stand alone game, not a sequal, so as to keep the beauty of X untarnished.
having said that, after ten nearly flawless games... i guess we can foprgive square for a single, momentary lapse in concentration...?
