For some reason I can't post user notes on anyones profile. It comes up saying

vBulletin Message

Appless, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?

2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or if you have newly registered, it is most likely awaiting activation by an administrator.

Please help!

It's a priviledge that comes with time. You have to be here for a certain length of time, of which I'm not certain at the moment, before you are able to make any User Note posts.

Does anyone know how long I'll have to wait?

Speaking of user notes, is there a way to have a "you have a new user note" indicator? Like a pm, or a blinking icon, or a popup or something? Because it usually takes me months to realize someone left a note for me.

crono_logical

I have no idea :} I don't even know if the tables store something for usernotes similar to PMs or new post indicators :p

At the moment, vBulletin doesn't have such a function, sadly. I just check mine once every few days or so.

Edit:WHo am i kidding thats what i said last time. But in all fairness i dont think my ban was justified this time(ill admit last time i went a little far). "starting a topic that i think was intended to bring negative attention" crap like that. it was supposed to be a topic about being tougher on criminals then abominatrix said something about me trying to be god and deciding who lives or dies. and one thing led to another. its a conspiracy. :shifty:

I could fix that pretty easily. And then blame it on Unne.

Carn, if you wish to discuss specifics on a ban feel free to pm any of the staff members. When things like this go out in the open it leads to speculation and assumption and loads more problems for everybody.

I'm happy with this. Postcounts for usernotes. In otherwords, every usernote adds to ones postcount. As there will be no usernotes, it won't make a lick of a difference. This is why people should be careful of how they word things. :smash:

Besides, 'postcounts for usernotes' wouldn't suggest that each note would add to one's postcount. It would mean that User Notes would come with their own independant post counts. Unless a system were put in place whereby the number of User Notes posted were actually counted (not simply set at zero, since then it wouldn't be a postcount, so to speak) then you'd be in breach of the terms agreed.

But then I suppose this forum is for feedback, rather than pointless grammatical discussion.

Nitpick compensates for his limited fighting ability by pouncing on points that are only marginally relevant to the discussion. :)
