I don't get it
I'll watch her trance, and then see if there's anything special going on, and there's nothing. Eiko casts doublewhitemagic, vivi doubleblackmagic and Zidane uses Dyne, but i don't see what's so special about Garnet's Trance. Mind you, i;m only on the 2nd disk because i just started, so i don't know if that has anything to do with it. Could someone tell me what her Trance does? :D

When Garnet is in trance, and uses the summon command, there is a better chance that the summon will appear and the damage will be 2x the normal amount.

Yeah, it's pretty useless until you get more summons, then it is pretty useful. But then once Garnet learns Boost it becomes useless once again. :p

When she is in Trance having summoned an Eidolon there is a random chance the same Eidolon will appear when Garnet has her next go, even if you make her Attack. It will cost no MP and does not require you to select Eidolon again. The Eidolon will stop appearing when Garnet's Trance bar empties. It is quite useful in long battles, especially if you summon something powerful such as Bahamut or Ark.

Oh is that what happens? Well that's pretty neat! I misunderstood the description then.

Yes, but why wouldn't you want a free summoning?

i'm not sure, but what if i use a summon that accidently heals my opponent *not sure if it does that in 9* and then it comes back and heals them again?

Well, when Garnet is in Trance, I usually get two Mega Flares or two G-force 199 (one from "Eidolon", the second for the Trance) and this RULES /o/

It's useful because you get to summon every round for free while focusing on keeping your other party members alive. Came in quite handy against Necron.

Eidolon looks cooler in the menu than Summon, that's my favorite part about getting Garnet to trance, personally.

It never works with me because Summons Suck. (http://www.forums.eyesonff.com/showthread.php?t=52197)

Really, it's never happened to me. I guess because the monster usually gets killed before her next turn.
