My friend came over and we played FFX. He dealt 99,999 in one attack.

If you mean in one hit(No KOTR, omni slash, lionheart, Blitz ace, Duel, Highwind, ect.).

99999 in ffx is very simple:)

hmm. The most I've ever done though is probably about. . . 75K*8 for tidus' blitzace, because my tidus is a pansy and no one else that isn't doesn't have multiple strike overdrives:)

1199988 is easily attainable in Final Fantasy X with Wakka's Attack Reels, in the history of Final Fantasy games it remains the largest number of damage that can be dealt in a single turn.

Seeing as I've never played FFX, the highest damage I've ever seen was from Omnislash.

Seeing all those "9999"s flash on screen so quickly is quiet fun.

I've always seen it as a very noisy sort of fun, interesting outlook though.

This only goes for one ability used in one turn. I won't bother listing the Quick+Ultima/Quadra Magic/Mimic/W-Summon kind of stuff. Also, this only lists potential damage; for example, I personally have never seen powered Cid up to the point where Highwind would actually deal 9999 a hit.

Final Fantasy V
Sword Dance: 19,998 (9999x2)

Final Fantasy VII
Knights of the Round: 129,987 (9999x13)
Shotgun Ultimate War God Champion Slash (a.k.a. Omnislash): 149,985 (9999x15)
All Living Humans Must Perish (a.k.a. Doom of the Living): 149,985 (9999x15)
Anger Max (a.k.a. Ungarmax): 199,980 (9999x20)
Highwind: 199,980 (9999x20)

Final Fantasy VIII
Lionheart: 159,984 (9999x16)

Final Fantasy X

Final Fantasy X International
Magus Sisters - Delta Attack: 599,994 (99,999x6)
Anima - Chaotic D (a.k.a. Oblivion): 1,599,9984 (99,999x16)

twenty shots in quick trigger?

oh man, kill me now.

I have trouble getting off more than 12.

and unfortunately, mindy's passado rarely deals 99999 on enemies that matter. Specifically on earth eater, I believe (or one of those other stupid bosses) she'll do 6-20k with 255 str-_- other than about 40-60k on the other bosses. . . Or perhaps my aeons aren't as uber as I thought they were. but still.

Passado has saved my butt many a time. Good list, kishi.

Final Fantasy VIII
Lionheart: 159,984 (9999x16)

Did you include the possible 9 hits you can get with Renzokuken? Technically it's only one move because you only select one action.

Renzokuken + Lionheart = 249,975

As has been said, any character in FFX can be developed so as to deal 99,999 in a single hit.

The amount of damage you can dish out in FFX is unreal.

I think that FF7 has the most damage potential of all the PS1 Final Fantasys. I was able to deal out enough damage to kill Emerald Weapon in 4 turns (a turn equating to an action by one party member), or under two full rounds, and it's assumed he has around 1 million HP.

Each character has two mastered Magic Plus materia equipped, boosting all three party members' Magic stats to 255, and a Mime materia, with one character having W-Summon. Each character is at level 99, but that's not important.

W-Summom Knights of the Round, and mime it twice in the first round = (9,999 x 13 x 2 x 3) = (129,987 x 6) = 779,992 damage in one round, which is astounding for FF7. Mime again, and Emerald is toast.

Ruby likes to counter KOR, though, which is one of the reasons he's more difficult.

I'd be very grateful if someone could give me accurate damage quotations for the followig moves. Assume stats and levels are maxed out and the move does the highest damage possible.

Barret - Satellite Beam, Catastrophe
Cait Sith - Dice
Cid - Dragon Dive, Big Brawl

Thanks.

If someone doesn't get to it before me, I'll fire up my game later tonight and give you the information on Barret. I haven't developed Cid enough on any of my current savegames (I've developed Cid, but I lost those saves) to give you his information, though.

The only one I can help you with is Catastrophe, which is 9999 max, since it is only one hit. I think Satellite Beam is the same, but I'm not sure.

Both Satellite Beam and Catastrophe hit multiple times.

It's 2:30 and I just got home, so I'll have to get that info tomorrow. So tired.

All the Limit Breaks I asked about are multiple hits, and this is why I need help comfirming the maximum damage. All I need really is the number of hits per attack and I can work from there.

It feels like I get a lot more than that on my turbo controller. :D

Both Satellite Beam and Catastrophe hit multiple times.
Satellite Beam hits the entire enemy party once and Catastrophe hits the enemy party many a time.

9999: Bahamut, FFIV.

Yeah, I haven't played much FF since SNES, excluding Dawn of Souls.

That's correct. And I'm firing up my game right now.

EDIT - It turns out someone snatched my batteries from my TV remote, and the only other Triple A's in the house are locked in my brother's room. Because I can't change my TV to A/V mode without my remote, I can't get the info until tomorrow.
