I love it. Although it, arguably, has no plot, it's still one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. Shows what you could do with a budget of 100 dollars. I love movies like ND, though. It's a nice break from the way overdone romantic comedy.

When I saw the trailers for it a while back, I thought it looked like an extremely stupid film, something I'd never want to see. Then my cousin got it for Christmas, and I did watch some of it. And actually, I thought it was pretty funny, in a less overdone way, like kikimm stated. I love it when Napoleon just sits there and sighs. :exdee:

ROOFLS, I was gonna make a ND thread last night.

This was the funniest movie I've seen in a long time(and that's a lot to say, seeing as how very very few comedy movies make me laugh). The second Napoleon said something, I burst into a fit of laughter. I love how he got so pissed off at everything and everybody.

Guy: Hey, Napoleon, what'd you do last summer again?
Napoleon: I was in Alaska hunting wolverines!
Guy: Did you shoot any?
Napoleon: YEAH! I got like 50 of 'em! They were attacking my cousins. What would YOU do in that situation?!
Guy: What kinda gun did you use?
Napoleon: A freakin' 12-gauge! What do you THINK?!

Anyway, I'm pretty sure that ND was the best of the two. The rest of my family might think otherwise.

That's it.

Yeah. Not a bad movie. I like the older version a lot better (Maybe I put TOO much importance on original and older versions of things. But I always appreciate older stuff more. But honestly, modern Stepford vs. 70s Stepford should be easily in favor of the original)

However, due to my ill taste for horror and the stupidity of modern horror-turned-comedy, I'd say that Napoleon Dynamite is better.
