I love this time of year. Bar the final, the third round is the best day for football in the English cup calender in my opinion. Right now I'm watching Sheff Utd put the pressure on Aston Villa big time. Later on its Plymouth v Everton (go Plymouth) and tomorrow its Yeading v Newcastle. With other interesting ties like Man Utd v Exeter I can't wait for match of the day tonight and tomorrow. Its such a footballing festival, league positions go out the window and everyone goes for the next round.

To small clubs a good cup run means a good source of income and to big clubs the prestige of winning the trophy is unrivalled in European Club Cup competitions. I'm hoping to see Yeading give Newcastle something to worry about later and it would nice if Exeter make Man Utd work for what seems like an inevitable victory. Anyway guys enjoy the football fun!

I thought I was going to choke to death when S<img src=http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif><img src=http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif><img src=http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif><img src=http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif>horpe went 1-0 up. I can't wait to see the look on Mourinho's face on Match of the Day when that goal goes in.

EDIT: S<img src=http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif><img src=http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif><img src=http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif><img src=http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif>horpe? xDDDDDDDD

It looks like the dream is over for S<img src=http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif><img src=http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif><img src=http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif><img src=http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif>horpe. I know how you feel though. I was rocking back on chair when that goal went in. If it wasn't for my cat like reflexes I may have been nursing a broken head.

GO EXETER!

Well done to Exeter City. Especially considering that they survived the last twenty minutes with some of United's first team players on the pitch.

Comiserations to S<img src=http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif><img src=http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif><img src=http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif><img src=http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif>horpe, but I'm sure they'll take solace in temporarily humiliating a team over sixty places above them in the league. :)

Unlucky Yeading. They really gave Newcastle a run for their money, even after conceding the second goal. It was really plucky display and the reason I love the F.A Cup third round. Can't wait for the draw!

still do not understand why Man U did not win 10-0, but thats football for you.

Damn you Arsenal...let Stoke through! and damn you too Newcastle.

Bye bye Aston Villa, Leeds, Man C, Norwich and Crystal Palace. :)

Come on Everton, get a good draw, your my outside bet to win (bookies give decent odds/Man U should concentrate on League/Europe).

P.s- and COME ON Burnley (sorry Doc Sark) lol.

still do not understand why Man U did not win 10-0, but thats football for you.

Because Sir Alex decided to field his reserve/youth team. Thats why he threw Ronaldo, Scholes and Smith on near the end to try and get a goal. I remamber he did the same thing back in '95 against York City in the League Cup. York won 2 - 0 at Old Trafford and won the tie on the away goals rule after he sent out the big gun's at Bootham Cresent and got a 3 - 1 win, which wasn't enough.

lol, thats what i mean...if it had been the first team, it should have been 20-0 lol. :) .

No disrespect to Exeter...but Man U should have won even if it was just Kleberson V Exeter+subs+Coaching Staff...ok i,m exagerating, but Alex should know not to field a weaker side after the 3-0 drubing away to Fenerbache. :mad2: .

Well that's the magic of the F.A Cup. You never know, even if Utd had fielded a first team the result might not have different. If's and but's. You'll have to wait a while to see Burnley have a go the Reds because the tie got cancelled and we've got Watford midweek in the League Cup. The fact is Utd's reserves still should have won, but it was a stalwart performance from Exeter. I doubt Utd will field a first team for the replay either.

Trust me, United would have won had they played their 1st team.

My Prediction for FA Cup final;

Tottenham vs Manchester United

What have you got? A crystal ball? You don't know that. I imagine they would but the F.A Cup is different. It throws up all kinds of surprises, Utd's reserve team should have won comfortably but didn't. It's easy to be complacent in the F.A Cup against lesser opposition but premier league clubs sometimes don't give lower clubs enough respect. Utd were lame yesterday, simple as that. Exeter matched them until the first team injection late on but even them they couldn't score. It doesn't look good for Man Utd's future if their youngsters can't beat Exeter, at HOME!!!!!

I agree that United were lame, in fact I have never been so disgusted with a United performance. They played terribly, they took the piss out of Exeter and they've robbed the chance of Exeter playing against some of England's finest players.

By the way I'd like to say commisorations to Stoke, Yeading, Brighton, S<img src=http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif><img src=http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif><img src=http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif><img src=http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif>horpe and Notts County for all playing terifically, but only just losing out to better sides.
