Hi. I decided to make a thread, but it needed a topic, so I decided on this one. For HS students, you should have received or be receiving your PSAT scores or SAT scores soon. Or your ACT scores, I guess. What did you score? And for non-HS students, what did you score when you took it?

I got my PSAT scores back today.

Math: 80
You scored higher than 99% of juniors.
You answered correctly 38 of 38 math questions.

Critical Reading: 67
You scored higher than 97% of juniors.
You answered correctly 42 of 48 critical reading questions.
IMPROVE YOUR SKILLS:
-Understanding difficult vocabulary
- Understanding sentences that deal with abstract ideas

Writing Skills: 73
You scored higher than 96% of juniors.
You answered correctly 34 of 49 writing skills questions.

Canadians can apparently take an LSAT, I have no idea what it stands for. I just saw a few study books in the bookstore today.
I haven't taken any of those, as American schools are for suckers.

SAT (1997)
-Math: 760
-Verbal: 730
Score: 1490

That's the only one I've ever taken.

I scored a 26 overall on the ACT. I don't remember the specific breakdown as this was 8 years ago. I don't think I could repeat that if I were to take it today.

...What purpose would those serve? I'd think that even American schools would accept the normal exams we take.

Anyway, we just have Diploma exams. I get to do six (!), none of which I have taken thus far. Fun.

I do the H.S.C here its like a range of tests that is eventually made up into a rank against the whole of students in NSW which will eventually determine what course you can get into in university!

my results:

(/100)
ANCIENT HISTORY: 82
CHEMISTRY: 75
ENGLISH (ADVANCED):82
MATHEMATICS: 82
VISUAL ARTS: 90

and my rank (100 being the highest) was 82!

Its a weird system down here!

I've taken the PSAT, but I don't know what I got on it, and I'm not telling you what I got on the ACT.

Took SAT I in 2000 or 2001. Got 750 Maths, 720 Verbal, so 1470 overall. Not bad for a one-off without really studying. I also took SAT IIs - Maths II 780, biology 790, chemistry low-mid 700s and english writing 690 (d'oh).

I'm taking the GAMSAT (graduate medical admissions test) in March.

SAT (2nd take, 200...3?)
Math- 640
English-700
Total-1340

No studying, no practicing and it was good enough for me. I knew kids who HAD to have that 1600, so they took the test seven or eight times. Megan don't play that. I did what I had to do, and went to school. Yay me!

I'm an idiot...

On SAT:
640 Verbal
690 Math

On SAT2:
690 Math
760 Writing

:( You all are smarter.

But hey, I have a 3.94 GPA as a 3rd year university student... so take THAT! Hah! :D

I got 800 on math but I can't remember what I got on verbal. Considerably less.

No idea what I got on PSAT.

SAT: 1470(770 verbal, 700 math)

ACT: 32(forget the exact breakdown. All I remember is that I royally sucked at that horrid science section).

I took some version of a practice SAT when I was in Jr. High. I'm not really sure if it was the PSAT or not, because I never took the actual SAT, I went with the ACT instead. I don't remember my exact score on the practice SAT; it was somewhere in the 1400's.

My ACT score was 28.
English: 35
Reading: 36
Science: 29
Math: really really horrible
was there another part? I can't remember. Oh well, it was a long time ago.

Whoa...you're all smart people. How exactly does the SAT thingy work? In the British system there's something called the SATs, and they're evil... :mad2: But scores like 1700 seem...unusally high. Usually stuff doesn't go past 150 in the British system. [So far.]

LSAT means that its 50 times harder than the SAT since the roman numeral for 50 is L.

Ok seriously its an entrance exam thing to get into law school. IT has reading comprehension, logical reasoning, logic games, and one more thing.....prolly writing of some sort.

boris no no, when did you take your A levels? The system now is that we take 3, and in some cases 4.

I haven't taken my A levels yet, but I have my AS results.
Art - A (I got 300/300 - I am a happy bunny!)
History - A (Think it was about 265/300)
English Lit - A (about 245/300)
PE - B (230-something/300)

In my GCSE's I got one A*, 7 A's and 2 B's.

In England, SATs are tests you take in Year 2, Year 4, Year 6 and Year 9 and they seem very important when you take them, but in hindsight they prove to be total wastes of time. Blah. I think I got:
Science: Lv8
Maths: Lv 7
English: Lv 8 althuogh I got 90/91 it should of been Lv 10, but the mark scheme didn't go up that high. xD

I honestly think that SAT scores don't mean much at all in the real world.

Many people got better scores than I did on the SAT, but now I have a much higher university GPA than many of them (nearly straight A's) and am on the Dean's list.

I made such a big deal out of my SATs last year, but now compared to the looming O-levels, it just seems like a ickle teeny tiny little test. And I won't even look towards my A-levels.

All I know is that I'm going to fail my french test tomorrow. :) Je suis vraiment stupide, et c'est difficile pour une petite fille comme moi. :(

I totaled a 197 on my PSAT that I took this past October. I don't remember the breakdown, but I do remember that I was sick the day I took it, so the score is a bit lower than I should have gotten. Oh well.

My scores were really low.

Let's see, I think I got like, 1110 on my SAT. I can't remember the scores, but math was higher, like around 590 in Math and 520 in Verbal. My HS GPA was a 3.3.

My current GPA is like, a 3.0 EXACTLY. That's odd. But eh...ironically, I want to be a math teacher when I couldn't even scratch 600 on the SATs.

I've only done GCSE's so far. No idea how these go into the American school system...

English - A
English Litriture - A
Citizenship Studies - A
Science - BB (Double Award)
Media Studies - B
Religious Studies - B
Maths - C (To think my teacher stupidly put me into the higher paper! "I don't want to do the higher paper!")
Design & Technology: Graphic Products - C
French - D
IT - D (I don't know how the hell I failed IT... I really don't xD!)

I'm now currently doing Biology, English Litriture and Media Studies in my schools 6th Form and I think I got atleast a B on my first Biology module test!
