If you haven't been watching the latest of Jack Bauer's heroics, why in the world not? If you have, like edczxcvbnm, I'm sure, what do you think so far?

It's great! I think that this is one of his better days. :)

Is it just me or does Keifer Sutherland look like Curt Schilling?

I don't know why. I think Jack makes me jealous. When 24 is on, all attention is on Jack for my parents. It's like:

"Help! Mom and Dad! I've fallen and I can't get up"
"Shush! Jack is on! You know he's the most important! :mad2:"

Nah, seriously though, I'm just too tired to watch it. I've watched 24 ocne and it was real cooo.

Jack is the man. When is CTU going to realize that he is always right?

So far this one has started off slower than previous seasons, but it's still the best thing on TV.

I really liked the first 2 episodes. I think that Jack's "Girl" is just using him and has a more serious secret relation in DC. There is a mole some where and I am going to say it is the head of CTU. I have only seen Sunday night. I missed Monday because of work. I am downloading the episodes right now and plan to watch them later tonight though. I can't believe I missed Jack in action :crying2:

I have been waiting since season 2 for them to kill off Jack. I hope they do it this season.

Kill off Jack? He's the only character left!

So what? I want new people every year and have it be more about the plot than revolve around one character.

24 is the best show on television, period. It puts all other shows to shame.

Amen to both of those statements. I have wondered the same thing many times while watching. I dont think their gonna kill off Jack because Keifer Sutherland is a co-producer... :(

It wont come out in my country for years to come.

Save this post, so I can edit it at the appropriate time.

Day 1 - Brilliant. I've said this before, but the two episodes where Jack breaks into the compound to save his family was some of the best stuff I've seen on TV.

Day 2 - I think this one was great too, especially the episode where the bomb detonated. I've read criticisms about how the retaliation strike and the president being voted out of office so quickly was unrealistic, but I didn't have much trouble accepting it. I don't know much about politics. David Palmer wasn't a great president, anyway.

Day 3 - 24 is a great show, but I think this season went over the top. Jack kicks a heroine addiction in one day. Jack and Tony put all that drama into chasing a virus they knew was phony. Amador creates a bidding war for the virus between two powerful gangster organizations, only to basically rob them by giving them nothing, then flies to LA to sell it to Saunders so he could plan a terrorist strike on the US that same day. Tony goes to prison for putting his wife over national security when that's all Jack did in season 1. He created a prison riot that resulted in the deaths of multiple guards for crying out loud. I guess I can write that all off on the fact that he had Palmer in his back pocket. I didn't like the way Chappelle was killed. If they would just give up one of their own to the terrorists like that why didn't Saunders ask for Jack to get killed? He knew what Jack was capable of and he knew that was the only man that could bring him down. In season 1 Jack was asked to kill Nina but he put a vest on her and staged the whole thing. I don't see what prevented him from staging something like that here. The way Nina was killed irked me too. Based on their history I can understand why Jack did it, but I just don't understand the writing there. There should have been a more dramatic scene for the death of Jack's nemesis. I guess they needed ways to get rid of these people since they weren't coming back next season, so that is somewhat understandable.

Day 4 - I think if anyone turns up to be a mole it has to be the stuttering guy. He just seems like the type. Erin is just another hardass, like Chappelle, who's too stubborn to know that Jack is always right. You need to have someone like that around to make Jack look more like the lone hero working against everybody. I liked Chappelle in that role, but he's dead. The girlfriend turning out to be evil is a definite possibility considering the Metal Gear Solid 2 random plot twist nature of this show, but I hope that isn't the case because that gimmick is so played by now. So far so good, but obviously the secretary kidnapping is only the tip of what the real plot is, so it's hard to say where this is going. What do you think is in the briefcase? I'm saying crackers.

The 24 hour real time format was a great idea and they pull it off pretty well, except for one thing. Living in there for four years has taught me that there is no way Jack can drive to any place in Los Angeles he wants in fifteen minutes.

I think the best antagonist to Jack was Mason.

I can get past the the few minor problems in season 3 compared to the huge blunders that did not ever end in season 2. First off there was that whole presidential thing that went on for damn near the WHOLE last 8 episodes. Of course lets not forget that Jack and Nina were the only ones to survive a horrible plane crash in the middle of a forest unscathed. How could I forget the mis-adventures of Kim Bauer. 23 episodes of nothing. Run here *bounce bounce* run there *bounce bounce* almost get killed by huge cat *bounce bounce* almost get raped for life *bounce bounce* IT DID NOT END! Jack had is worst in the last 8 episodes though. Random bad guy of the week award goes to...the 30 some odd bad guys Jack wasted. The computer programmer comes out of no where and lets no forget sherry who is involved somehow. Too much random with zero forshadowing.

I agree Saunders should have asked for Jack to be killed but I think he decided to make an example out of a high ranking individual what is excellent at tracking people...Still doesn't make much sense. As for why they could not stage it. They asked to have his dead body. Not fakeable. Moving on to the Jack - Tony did the same thing. Jack did quit CTU after that to protect his family and we are talking about a canidate that was running for president and not even president compaired to the hundreds of million of people that would have gotten it for Tony's.

Season 3 had faults but no where near the huge mindblowing blunders of season 2 and some of the one in season 3 were at least somewhat understandable. The last 8 episodes of season 2 was a massive lack of forsight. It seems like they forgot there were 8 episodes to go.

I just watched episode 3 & 4 of Season 4 and it was interesting that already people are getting caught. I liked how Heller tried to break out. Heller=Automatic badass. Although I am kind of sick of CTU snicking around stuff. This season I don't think there is a mole though. I don't like the black bitch. I have a feeling she = new sherry. Too early to make any serious calls or accusations. It was all still good and I like the new bigger characters that have not gotten a lot of screen time.

You would think that just for 1 season that CTU would actually have a staff that got along with each other and didn't try to each other at every turn.

I agree with that. The black girl pisses me off. Has she even done any work? I wish it would show these people actually doing their jobs and catching the bad guys than mucking around all day. I can see how it makes for better TV for Jack to be a renegade, but do we really need a whiny manipulating bitch in every season? It's not so far fetched to have people actually get along with their coworkers.

Yeah, Kim is annoying. Good thing she's not around this time.

Excellent. We agree :D

Stupid bitch in this series has only stood around and talked . Also we know that if Heller survives this that the head of CTU L.A. is gonna get fired for what she is forcing them to do to his son. Bitches are going down :D

How many years apart is each day? If someone already answered that, I apologize. I skimmed over this thread.

24 is a good show, but it's hard for me to watch a show every week. Maybe my brother will get it on DVD, so I'll watch it from the beginning.

Season 1 took place during the California Presidential Primary. Season 3 took place during the re-election of the candiate that won the presidency so thats over 4 years right there. Then Day 4 takes place about a year and a half later I think.

Ok, so, another 24.

Let me guess, someone/some organisation is threatening The President/LA/The US/The World, and Jack Bauer is the only man who can stop it by going against what CTU and his superiors say, going underground in a crazy rogue but right way.

And then in the end he wins out, but not until his daughter gets caught up in a load of pointless rubbish from which he has to save her, and a bunch of people he thought he could trust betray him and lots of people die.

I haven't seen it, in fact I just plain stopped watching it after the first one.

But I bet I have the story DEAD ON.

Your right the black girl is a new sherry. Since they gt rid of the last one pretty much, now she's filling the shoes. I'm looking for the new nina. Who was a brilliant character always 1 step ahead til the last.

Im pretty sure the mole is either the white women that took over Kim's job or the fat guy. I thought i saw somebody call the terrorits and tell him he was being followed, but i didnt tape it so i cant go back and look....

Next time I'll remember to just put terrorists threatening [ insert name here ], then it'll be pretty universal.

Well CTU does stand for Counter Terrorism Unit

So i'd imagine they'd have to model the shows around terrorism somehow...
