Bruce Lee was much more than an actor and overall one of the greatest people who ever lived. So, yeah, he wins.

Everything that makes a good real-life fighter and martial artist makes a bad on-screen fighter - however Bruce Lee , as probably the greatest exponent of martial arts in modern times , was also an exceptionally good actor. He gets my vote.

I'm going to say Bruce Lee. However, I just saw Elektra last night and there was a preview for a movie called Unleashed with Jet Li. Jet Li is a decent actor and has had a few good acting performances, but he has the opportunity to give a REALLY GOOD acting performance with this movie, and if he does a good job with it he will be my new favorite.

Martial arts "actors" are not really actors IMO. They're just stunt people who just read a few "cool" lines.

I guess you haven't seen The Game of Death then. It's one of my favorite movies period.

Bruce Lee is the best, but not the best actor.

Jackie Chan is the best actor. I mean, he's spectacular in that he performs excellently AND acts with superstar prowess at the same time. Shame that it looks like he finally bit the wrong worm (And Disney hooked him in the gut)

Of course, I hear no mention of the great, the magnificent, the, uh, well, Jean Claud Van Dam! Not that guy... That guy... I think he guest starred on Friends and the black haired chick fell in love with him for an episode. That was really impressive (For him)

Jet Li sucks. I haven't been able to sit through a single movie of his. Chris Farley was better as the Great White/Fat Ninja. (Though it's sort of unfair to compare hardly anybody to Chris Farley. The man was quite superior to most mortal actors in every way)

Note related to the post below this: I've never seen any of Jet Li's foreign work.

Agreed. And Jet Li's a pretty good actor in his foreign films, but I can't sayt he same for his American films.

I shall also quote this.

Besides, Bruce...Jet Li. I'd say Jackie Chan, but none of his more recent flicks feature hardly any martial arts. :(

Bruce Lee due to the fact thathe was an actual martial art master whoactually did those things in his movies IRL and during screenings.

Watch actual dramas where Bruce Lee acts, not his 'famous five'.

Anyway I like Jet Li in asian films.

A couple of other good ones would have to be Chris "Red Dragon" Cassamassa, Robin Shou, and Mako.

Cassamassa played as a very convincing Scorpion in the original Mortal Kombat Movie. Shou played as Liu Kang in both MK films. And Mako, he's been in more movies than I can even count.

Bruce Lee, and the Black guy that was with him in Enter the Dragon. I can't remember his name, but he was amazing. Sonny Chiba is great too.

Bruce Lee who starred in Enter the Dragon.

And after his death.. his small screen successor "Bruce Li" who starred in my favorite kung fu film "Bruce Lee: The Man, The Myth, The Legend" (Was a movie about Bruce Lee's life)

Present day actor would have to be Jet Lee (Now spelled Jet Li)
I enjoyed his Once upon a time in China movie series

Actress of course is the stunning Zhang Ziyi..
