Did you ever have to live with someone you totally despise?

My worst roomate has to be my current roomate this year. He is one of those who loves to get attention. He blasts the guitar a billion decibal levels to screechy high pitched vocal lyrics about his ex-girlfriend. Oh god if I have to hear that "My heart's broken into a million peices" emo ish again my head is going to explode.

anyway let's hear some of your worst roomate ever stories.

I had to share a room with one of my (step) sisters for a few years, but it wasn't so bad. It was kind of fun because she cleaned every day so the room was always clean. :D

My roomate in the dorms used to smoke the marijuana in the room while I was trying to enjoy some FFVIII. He would also come home late at night with his firends and make out with girls on our couch. He was actually not a bad guy when I wasn't living with him.

I had four roomates last week. One dropped out of school, and another one turned into a jerk over the month I lived with him. He loved arguing with me about very stupid crap. The remaining one and I got a different room just down the hall together recently. He's a cool guy.

I can't wait to live alone, or with a family of my own someday down the road.

My worst roommate had once been my best friend. You don't really know someone until you live with them.

My worst roommate ever was my second roommate of my sophomore year in college. My previous roommate had been on the waiting list for the really nice dorm and once she was gone, I got stuck with this other girl. She annoyed me, because she always had her boyfriend in our room, and he eventually started spending the night there EVERY night. It was uncomfortable for me and irritating when they would start going at it five feet away from me. Not to mention the grating Wiscaaahnsin accents (sorry, can't stand it though).

But the worst part about it all was that she (or her boyfriend, one of the two) stole the wedding ring I bought for my then-fiance'. Came home one day to find her 'taking out the trash' and the next day the bag with the ring in it had disappeared. Stupid me for not locking it up better, I suppose.

I did room with my best friend for one year and we never had any problems at all. Glad to hear that the "never live with your best friend" cliche' doesn't always ring true. :spin:

I'm getting sick of my roommate. Actually both of them.

I just found out my roommate had my toaster broke somehow, so mind me, I'm off to break something of his now.

Never take an ad out for a roommate. My friend and I needed a third roomie to help cover the bills. She seemed like a nice enough girl, and she had a job at a department store at the mall. But we later discovered she had some hygene problems and never cleaned up after herself. And the worst, came 5 weeks after she moved in. Turns out she was a chatroom addict, and since we didn't have an internet connection in the appartment, she CALLED all of her international internet friends on the phone at all hours of the day. When I got my first phone bill, her longdistance came to 1,600 dollars!!! And the following month, it was another $1000! She also had lost her job at the mall and didn't help with the rent one month. So by the time we kicked her out after 3 months she owed me $3000. I had to take her to court for the money, and her wages were garnished for like 5 years before everything was paid off. Phukin Beeeaach! :mad2:

...

I used to want roommates, before I read THAT THING and this thread. Now I'm rethinking my policies. And no, I've never had a roommate unless you count a 3 day camp, in which I was probably the hellish *but lovable* evil roomie.

Ouch...and few more ouch.

I'm just getting sick of roommate/s because I need peace, that's why I'm thinking of moving in aparement with no roommates. This is just one example of my daily experiences with them:

*knock knock* ( my door)

Me: Yeah?

*door opens, very very slowly...*

Me: *stares at the slowly opening door*

*Suddenly my roommate's head appears from behind the door*

Ohto: Heheh.
Me: ...
Ohto: Umm...are you going anywhere tonight?
Me: Nah...not feeling too well and I've had my share of partying for a long time.
Ohto: Hehehehe. ( very weird laugh)
Me: o.o'
Ohto: Hehehe...( he keeps laughing slowly)
Me: ... ( thinking please leave me alone)
Ohto: Well, that's all.
Me: Have a nice night!

He really seems retarted these days, smoking weed-stuff with his friend, they are making some weird noises together with his retarded friend and one of these days I'll throw him down from balcony. :mad2:

That story is worth money. My god, simply amazing. I'm so much like the narrarator in that story though, it's uncanny.

I lived in the dorms last semester, and my roommate was alright. He was pretty nice, but he was kind of a slob. He was gone at his girlfriend's house other than sunday through thursday from 11PM to 8AM, so it was alright. I moved out because of the cost, not because of him.

The only thing he did that really bugged me was when he got on my computer and downloaded a bunch of sample porn videos, then dug through my stuff and found my blank CDs and tried to burn them onto CDs thinking he'd be able to play them in a DVD player, but he just ended up ruining about 20 CDs because he doesn't know what the hell he's doing when he sits down in front of a computer. He also flooded my hard drive with so many viruses and spyware applications that I was forced to reformat and lose everything. I had to rewrite two essays that were due the next morning because of that.

Well, I've always had my own room at my house but in September I moved in with Myles and his dad and step-thing. ( We are, HOPEFULLY, going to get our own apartment by the end of this year, beginning of next. We'll probably do it in Jan of next year and for Christmas ask for small pieces of furniture. )

Now, it's not BAD here but it's . . . annoying. Myles is the best. He's a little messy but not in a gross way. I don't mind picking up dishes and cleaning the room. Hell, it gives me something 'wife-like' to do until we get our own place. What gets me is his step-thing. If I don't clean the house and do the dishes ( none of my own ) then "THAT GIRL NEVER HELPS AROUND HERE!!!!!! RRRWAR! I have a bad -insert problem of the day here- and it's so hard to clean up after four people!!! AHH! This is to much for me! I wish someone would help me out here!!!!" but if I do dust and wash and do the laundry to help out then it's, "WHAT?! She acts like she's your Second wife, Mitch! ( Myles's Dad ) I swear! Myles just lets her do whatever she wants!!! I think she needs to ask about rules before she just goes off and does things to MY house!!!"

And his dad always has to be right or the world will explode.

The End.
