Greetings. A few months ago I started on a programming project for school. The point of the project was to make a game. Only 2 people in the past had remade old games (Metal Slug and something else), so me and my partner decided to remake one as well rather then making something similar to everyone else. It turned out to be much harder then we thought it was.

Currently we have it set up as just a small portion of the world map, the town and castle, and only 1 dungeon. With the time limit, that is all we can afford to do, although we might expand on it later.

Basically I've ripped down all the maps to 16x16 tiles, and made chipsets for them, EXCEPT the world map. If I was to do it by hand, it would probably take 2 days or so straight. I did however, make a program to cut up most maps I give it to 16x16 tiles, I sort through those and make a chipset. However the world map (4092x4092) is much too big for this program to handle, as the maximum picture ID's it can output is 999, and when I ran it for that much the just of what I got was water, and not enough other stuff to work with.

Essentially what I am looking for is a chipset or tile set for the world map for final fantasy 1. I don't care what version it is for, however I would prefer the NES or MSX version over the newer ones (as that's what most of the maps are already based off of).

Any help with this would be greatly aprecieated, and put to use right away (it's sadly due on monday, and we only realized this would be a problem in the past few days when we had to switch from scrolling maps to the tiles so everything would work properly together).

I've looked all over for the chipset or tiles, and for good forums that might be able to help, and this was the only active forum I found.

A jpeg? That's odd. Not only is it a waste of space, there's jpeg artifacts all over the place.
