I will never understand cultures that have cheeseslicer capabilities, but no cheeseslicer usage at all. I AM LOOKING AT YOU ENGLISH. >:o

Do you use cheeseslicers or not?

I had a nice one with a small marble board. It was neato.

Now I'm stuck with a cheap wooden board! I hate being a college kid. :P

I have a slicer, but I use a grater. I prefer my cheese in those tiny little grated peices.

Nope. I use a knife to cut cheese :( I miss out on all the fun of a cheeseslicer

Ditto. When one wants to enjoy the joy of cheese, it means getting out the board and the knife, and arduously chopping away. I think i've only seen a slicer in action once. I need to get with the times :)

I'm British and own a cheeseslicer, so hah!
I only occasionally use it though. More often than not I grate the cheese.

I'm Canadian and I use a knife. I do not own a cheeseslicer. Cheeseslicers are for lazy people. :cat:

Well, I was gonna ask "What the *snip* a cheeseslicer?"
But apparently, the F-word is supposed to be censored here..... that's so lame.

If you know it's censored, it would probably make a lot of sense to not go around the swear filter.
You should also know that editting a Mod's edit is not a good thing. ~ Leeza
Yeah, but that would be the whole point, wouldn't it. If I'm going to bitch about censorship, you can't really expect me to censor myself.

Yeah man, what's a cheeseslicer? I mean, the name makes no sense! Cheese... slicer?

I think it cures cancer.

Egg slicers are fantastic. They also double as a hawaiian guitar.

I don't eat cheese, but when I prepare cheese for other people I use a knife. After all, it slices cheese and performs many other functions at the same time. Why would I want to buy a new tool for the specific purpose of slicing cheese?

Are you talking about these sorts of things (http://www.zooscape.com/cgi-bin/maitred/GoldExpression/questp425048)?

They're spiffy, but I generally buy pre-sliced or pre-grated cheese anyway. :D

I sometimes use a cheeseslicer. I usually eat sliced cheese. Some days ago I sliced the sliced cheese into little strips with a knife.

The problem with these cheese slicers is their lack of width control. I don't care for thinly sliced cheese; it's like bread. I like to have blocks, and these cheese slicers just can't match the adjustabiliy of a knife. If someone made a variable-width cheese slicer, well, that might be the bext invention of the last fifteen to eight thousand years.
