Does anyone know any good FREE hosting site that doesn't have those annoying adds and will let you do ftp stuff?

Best bet nowadays is to get good enough and then ask someone with a domain for hosting.

Yeah, there have been add-free hosts in the past, but all of them realized they were losing money by not showing advertisements.

I believe my advice is "you get what you pay for."

Except my host is currently down for the first time in... I dunno, a long time, they're almost always up. Something to do with a DOS attack, I believe.
