I just watched Episode 1, the anime is just an anime adaptation of the game series it looks like, very good stuff. I guess this would be good for people who didn't play the first game and want to move on to the second one right away, although since Xenosaga has a good story I suggest it to anyone. The anime was very consistent with the events in the game, very cool to watch if you have played it.

The first episode was from The beginning, when Shion tests KOS-MOS in the encephalon to the part where the Gnosis attack the Woglinde and KOS-MOS wakes up and tracks Shion. The episode ends as KOS-MOS wakes up.

I'm downloading Episode 2 and 3 now, can't wait.

edit:: It looks like the anime version will also be a lot more uncensored than the games might be able to be, for instance, there was some cursing in episode 1 which I think makes the dialogue more effective.

I have been posting about it since before its release. The series is just okay. The animation is sub-par. The story will be good but I have already seen it a few times.

Rubedo: Same here. Both me and ed have been hoping for a good series in that thread. I've seen Episode 1 and 2, and they're alright. I'm not all that fond of the animation though.

If you want to download the episodes I NOW recommend www.anime-kraze.org . They picked it up and have 1 and 2 out now. They are a bit behind and usually a bit slow but they are a good fansub group. They were the only people who finished Saiyuki Reload and they may do gunlock when they have more time. They just do too much.

The wait for quality is better. I don't really care the other group. I like the way anime-kraze does things. Also www.baka-updates.com is better than anime-source. They list a lot more torrents.

Yah, uncompressed DVD mpegs are usually the choice of anime fansub groups. I dunno what the hell these guys are doing with this avi xvid crap! :eek: :eek: :eek:
I already played Xenosaga, and I'm kind of in the middle of it a second time, and I watched the first episode and it didn't really excite me.

I usually like Avi as they are less space consuming and offer the same quality if done right and all you need is DivX. If not Ogg files are good with dual audio. Just hook your comp to the TV like my friend :D

You are not going to find any group who does this. Almost all of them use Xvid as the codec of choice.
