Ive been at home in bed sick for the bast 4 days(which is why Ive been on the site so often). Now this morning I woke up to what I "thought" was the sound of birds chirping which I never heard around my house before but as I was dozy and on medication I took no notice and eventually I fell asleep. Later I woke up to what Im definite was *drumroll*...... Squeaking.
Im certainly not fond of them but I can handle cockroaches, Spiders or whatever but mice are a NO, Holy crap what am I gonna do if its a rat? Feel free to inform for any advice on how to kill of unwanted visitors

Please dont kill it. There are a variety of humane traps available so you can catch it and set it free somewhere else.

They arent like bugs, they wont dare come anywhere near you at anytime. I had a mouse living with me (and five cats xD) for months and I never saw it, only it's droppings.

Dont those traps super glue it to the floor of a box or something so it has a long, drawn out and agonizing death?

TheAbominatrix

As I said, there are numerous kinds of humane traps. And glue traps only draw out the death if ther jerk that caught the mouse doesnt free it.

Yeah, please don't kill the mouse. I love mice. Maybe you can use some breadcrumbs or something to lead into a box then take it outside?

You can handle cockroaches, but you can't handle mice?

*shudder* I can handle most things, and most kinds of bugs, but cockroaches are a NO. Anyway about your mouse problem, make noise. When you hear it squeaking, rustle something around, start talking and it'll run away. Then flee to the store and buy traps.

put food in your room to get rid of it
i heard mice HATE food
esspecially cheese and like crackers or something
just put that on your floor and i'm sure it'll leave...or invite friends for a party

*and mice are smart. One mouse at my grandmom's house jumped OVER a mouse trap (the sticky one) and went on about it's thing*

Lure it out with some sort of food, and then find someone brave enough to pick it up. That's what we did when one of the critters found its way into our house. It was quite lucky, actually, considering the cats nearly ate it.

You can get these mouse traps what just catch the mouse in a little box then you have to put them somewhere else- very handy if you have an annoying neighbour  just kidding
But, no, I agree with the other people who said this, don't kill it!

Right. And then it bites you and gives you dieseases. Good plan.

that's why you grab it by tha tail
unless the mouse knows how to kick box and knows jujitsu, then you're in trouble

Toss a grenade into your bedroom. OK, it may blow a hole in your wall, trash all your stuff and there's always the chance your house will collapse...but if you wanna make an omlette, you gotta break some eggs. :greenie:

There was a mouse in my loft once. He used to scratch the space just above my cupboard every night at about 2am and without fail, the damn thing would wake me up! So my dad made this really cool trap that was like a cage that mice can climb in to but not out of. We put a piece of cheese in there and checked it every day. Unfortunately the mouse didn't fall for the trap until about a month later when we had given up checking. Poor little dead mousie... :(

Even after picking the mouse up by the tail, please wash the hell out of your hands afterwards! As for catching the thing, leaving food in a box (i heard mice like bacon? don't know how) and then gently transferring said box to the outside world sounds like the best bet. If you use poison, your house will begin to reek of dead mouse. No, DECOMPOSING dead mouse. So think hard!

we once put one of those traps out that traps it in a box. the mouse chewed through 2cm of solid plastic (  ) and escaped! i guess it was a mutant mouse!
i live in the country so we always have mice! dosn't bother me much!
plus once when i woke up a mouse was dancing at the bottom of my bed!!no joke! it was hopping up and down looking at me! :D it was a cool mouse!

I saw one in lower floor of my dorm just a while ago... <3

And btw cockroaches... are just horrible. How can you handle cockroaches and not mice? @_@;; *runs away screaming*

My advice: Catch it and make it your pet!

Catch it in a box somehow, then shave it and throw it into the snow. That'll teach it to ever go back into YOUR house again... ^_^

The mouse in Jojo's picture has 'cute', shiny eyes, lovely brown fur, and glaces a loving, affectionate look at the camera.
The mouse in Destai's bedroom, like those in the real world, probably has one eye, a golf ball sized growth coming out of it's neck, and is armed with a small shotgun. Take NO Prisoners.

As for the problem at hand, just pick up a pair of good ol' stompin' boots.

I had a mouse named Howard. I also had some name Pablo and Juan and Pedro.

I love having mice in my house, but I try not to since I know the cats will hurt it if they can.

When having them as pets, I prefer rats. They're much more loving.

Then we drowned them and tossed their corpses in the dumpster.

The only way you'll get a disease from a mouse is if it bites you, or if it comes bearing infected fleas. This is highly unlikely in most places. Mice are not disease-ridden devils, they're usually quite clean and highly intellegent.

So no, that's not why you're already sick. The mouse has no intention of coming anywhere near you at anytime. It just wants to live it's little life.
