I don't know about Jim Carrey for Kefka. I think he'd play him too over the top. Yes, Kefka should have some dark humor, but he should also be taken seriously as an evil, psychotic, ruthless killer, and I don't think Carrey could pull it off.

Orlando Bloom would probably make a better Edgar than a Setzer.

I can't think of any good ideas. Maybe Jessica Biel as Terra? I'll post later if I can think of anything else.

For some reason I keep thinking Van Damme would be good as Sabin, even though I know that's completely wrong. Van Damme isn't good at playing ANYTHING. He just kinda happens to look the part.

I think the suggestion about Segal playing Cyan is probably not a bad idea if you can get the man to do something remotely resembling emoting. Cyan's story involves a lot of pathos, something martial arts film stars aren't known for.

I can't possibly see Ian McKellan playing Strago though. Not saying he doesn't have the range to do it, just that it somehow doesn't seem right. It's like asking Kenneth Brannagh to play Deuce Bigalo.

Relm should definitely be played by the girl from A Series Of Unfortunate Events. At least, that's only if this were to be made in the next 5 seconds or so, 'cause she'll be too old very soon.

As far as Kefka's concerned, I'm convinced that Tim Curry was born to play that role.

I think Brad Pitt is the only choice for Sabin. People love to hate him, but honestly I've never seen a bad Brad Pitt movie. He's the spitting image of him, even if he might not be as big, but he can bulk up fairly well, and he can look plenty scruffy...and if anyone's seen Fight Club...well 'nuff said
I think Liam Niesson might make a good General Leo more than anyone else.

If you really think about it, no matter what actors they would get, a movie of FFVI would completely suck and ultimately leave everyone dissapointed and not do the game justice. I don't think it can ever be appropriately pulled off.

I'm a big fan of keeping Orlando Bloom out of any role involving acting. So I'd say stick him as Gogo if you've got to have him in there. I've never liked the idea of Jim Carrey as Kefka. He's too over the top wild and wacky, rather than ove the top psychotic. I've never found his acting style would match up with Kefka's personality well at all. Now that said, he has done some serious roles, and proven that he can actually act quite well, so maybe he could pull it off, but I haven't seen him in a role that even remotely reminds me of Kefka. I've got to agree with Strider on Crispin Glover for the role. In fact I've got to agree with Strider on a lot of his picks, although some I've never heard of.

Also, I think it'd be feasible to take Leo in a different direction and make him black. As it is, his sprite from the game is relatively dark-skinned compared to everyone else.

As such, I'd also recommend Laurence Fishburne for that role. Ethan Hawke, Laurence Fishburne... you could go in a few different directions with Leo.
