This is part of my A-level problem solving unit.
My problem is "How do I portray the working classes in contempory British society."

This is the result.

Oil canvas, about 100cm X 70cm.
The flash went off, so it's all shiney.

She did have a child, but she got taken into care as she was only 13 at the time.

It wasn't intended to bear any resemblence to Vicky Pollard. However I think Vicky Pollard bears a resemblence to my 'Chardonnay', don't you think? ;)

Alas, I must state that the chav is already a fashion or sorts, albiet more of an anti-fashion. What with the Sun declaring itself the 'Chav' Newspaper and all these books 'ridiculing' chavs appearing on our shelves I think it's become the vouge to criticise our working class.
A shame really - 'chav' culture has sold out.

I proudly state that I was doing it with my art before everyone else did it. I heard a columnist doing it in The Daily Telegraph - you know then that it's got out of hand. :p

You got the "mutton dressed as lamb" thing perfect, but I think you captured the hopelessness more than the self-elevation which is what I dislike most about chavs.
