chaos: Do you ever feel completely depressed and empty inside? What normally cheers you up or makes you feel better? :D

Yeah... I feel better after a few hours have gone by, or when I wake up the next day.

Yes, lots of times :(

I just do something, anything to get nasty depressing thoughts off of my mind. Normally, talking with friends on msn, watching TV, playing a game or just browsing on the internet helps it subside.

For me It always helps just to sit down on my couch pick up a controller and play a really fun game.Or just watch some TV helps sometimes. :greenie:

I just simply ask for a hug from one of my girl friends. Works like a charm.

It does eventually go away. For me, thinking about it doesn't help me too much. I try playing video games, or reading a book, maybe even one that I've already read before, and is familiar.

Sleep on it. :)

Usually either sleep, talk to friends or go out somewhere with afew mates! Either way it goes away pretty soon...depending on the problem

depending on the season and the state of my finances, I'll go do one of three things.
1) strap my board to my feet and hit the slopes.

2) climb a rock.

3) beat the livin' bejeezes outta a kick bag at my Dad's dojo.

something physical. emotions, both positive and negative, seem to generate energy, at least within me. If I don't do something physical to expend this energy, it'll find release in something else like a headache, an upset stomach or something like that.

I blame it on my hormones and act in a hostile way towards my Parents.

Hm. Cute animal pictures could help you to feel better, I suppose.

It happens sometimes. Often the best thing to do is take your mind off things by listening to music, reading a book, or whatever activity you enjoy most. Dwelling on your troubles won't help at all, so the best remedy is to avoid thinking about them too much.

Yes, that's the way I'm feeling at this very moment. :)
But I guess I'll get over it sooner or later. However... there's sadly not much fun that I feel like doing...

But like people have already mentioned: Just give it some time.

It's hard to say which is really which with this but, It seems that you feel that way most of the time when your really bored, or it could be when you feel that way nothing really stimulates your interest. A good way out of it would be to get some friends together and go do something. Don't just sit around like, yep... WEEEE! Actually explore someplace new or do something new and you'll feel better.

I go out and buy a bag of lollipops.
Drowning spyro helps too. That's the only reason I even keep that game.

Spyros to cute for me to drown him, or drop him off a cliff for that matter, I prefer to drown, burn, and break the neck of Lara Croft, damn her and her unrealistic breasts! :mad2:

I don't know what cheers me up when I'm depressed. I just usually go to sleep, so I don't have to think about anything...

I go and pop some pills. Actually they are vitamins, called triptophan, that help me naturally get over my depression but they do work like a charm. I'm not saying try it though because these were prescribed to me by my doctor.

but if scientists are correct, beating out the living crap of a punch bag/talking to someone understanding, would be the most... benificial? option.... i'm still for the pillowfight idea though ^_^

Playing drums and/or guitar/piano helps a lot, especially a jam session with the other guys in my band.
Failing that, I just beat a pillow senseless.
