I'm sure a lot of us count down the days to exciting events, and then count down the minutes when the day arrives. Sometimes awaiting the future makes the drudgery of the present more bearable, and gets us through the day.

I'm currently awaiting the Arsenal v. Wolves F.A. Cup match. What event are you currently looking forward to? Do you tend to keep your eye on the future, rather than the moment?

What do I have to look forward to... probably the summer. I live for the summer.

After that, it's all pretty vague. I just want to graduate college and get a good start on my life.

But really, summer vacation. That's always the best time of year. It actually gets above 60 degrees.

There are many things I'm looking forward to, both in my life and in the world at large.

For my life:

- My first few papers to be assigned and then completed.
- For my next two films to be finished and hopefully well received.
- For the start of the baseball season, basketball playoffs, and FA Cup
Championship Game.
- The Oscars.
- For the next episode of the Daily Show.
- For the arrival of the Johnny Carson's greatest hits DVD's.

In the world at large:

- For the results of the Iraqi Election.
- The next NASA space probe to Mars.
- For the State Of The Union Address.
- The Pulitzer Prize Nominations/ Nobel Prize Nominations.
- The next peace accords in South America.
- The Next Chinese Economic Summit in 2006.

It's tough to find the proper balance between living for the moment and looking ahead to what's next, but if you can do that, you'll live a much fuller life.

Take care all.

---Finishing up my huge pile of books so I can finally go the bookstore again without feeling guilty.
---The summer. *sigh* That's going to take forever.

Hmm....guess I don't have too many things I'm looking forward to right now. How boring. But good for me---no anxiety or frustration. :monster:
