chaos: Any characters from the original game or new characters you want to participate in this magical story?

Rubedo: Seeing Cloud/Squall and co. would be nice, but now, I kind of want to see more villans from FF in KHII. Adding Sephiroth in the first one was a nice twist, but people like Seymour from FFX could fit into the plot IMO. What about you?

I'd love to see Terra and Locke, Cecil and Rosa and Kain and Rydia, but I know it wont happen... so... Tifa would be wonderful. It'd be nice to see Paine, too.

As for Disney... Mulan, of course I already know she'll be there. Robin Hood, Little John, and Prince John... hmm... I think that's all.

I would love to see Rikku in KH2, but I don't think they will use her.
After looking through some concept art of KH 1 I saw a pic of Rikku wearing the exact same clothes Yuffie wears in KH 1, which leads me to belive they were going to use Rikku in KH 1, but then replaced her with Yuffie. So I don't think we'll see her in KH 2.

Well... It would be awesome if they could get Kefka a spot, maybe like an extra boss like Sephiroth in KH1, except he'd probably use more odd battle tactics. If it HAD to be a good guy, i'd have to say... Gogo. I don't know why, but I just happen to really think Gogo is cool. And if not Gogo, then Quina. (cause Quinas funny.)

What would be even more awesome would be if they could fit in the FF5 Gilgamesh as a boss. (He's my second favorite GENERAL [evil/good/whatever] FF char., next to Kefka.)

FFVI characters would be nice...

The characters Id like from the newer FF games...well theres too many.
Tifa, Rufus or maybe Reno
Rinoa(only if theres no Tifa) Quistis, Seifer or Zell
IX&X? Maybe Tidus or Zidane. I could certainly do without Auron.

I can imagine Rinoa being in the mix since her persona's really cute.. A lot of FF8 characters would be interesting protagonist roles for KH. FF7's bad ppl would be really cool antagonists..

I think that there should not be just FF characters, there should be FF worlds. Spira, Midgard, etc, would be fun, and may tie into the fact that all of the FFs are in different worlds and a main part of KH was discovering different worlds...

As for characters, I want to see Seymour and/or Shuyin, Yuna, Zidane, or Barret (sp?)

Another thing: What if KH was tied into FF plots. For example, a revived Seymour attempts to use the Heartless as fayth to summon Sin once more. (though that's just a crazy idea)

We've all seen the pics of Auron, that's why we're not mentioning him. We know he's going to be in the next one. As for who I want to see in KH2...

Rinoa (although, could failing to protect her when his world was taken by the Heartless be the real reason why Squall changed his name to Leon? Which might suggest that she's dead or worse... That would suck, because I really liked those two together...)
Tifa (I know that Cloud and Aeris is the most popular/most official relationship, but I was always an advocate of Cloud and Tifa)
Vincent (C'mon, they crossed him with Cloud?! Cheap... Vincent and Cloud are good enough that they each deserve their own character)
Quistis (She's another favorite of mine from FFVIII. Only Squall and Selphie made it to the first KHs. A little more FFVIII in number 2!)
Ultimecia (She'd actually make a really good villain. Besides, it would let me do a direct comparison of her and Sephiroth's powers)
Cait Sith (How can we not have the talking cat on a stuffed moogle in the game? Cait Sith is awesome)
The Turks (Again, these guys are just cool)
The WEAPONS (Getting to take on Omega, Ultima, Ultimate, Diamond, Ruby, and/or Emerald WEAPONs in KH2 would be sweet)

Disney characters...

Well, the peddler from Aladdin. (He's the third best character in that series [after the carpet and the Genie])

I'm fairly open minded to any others (but no pink elephants! God, I hate that song from Dumbo. Thank goodness he was just a summon, and they didn't use any other pieces of the movie).

Well the peddler was in the first KH, to meet him all you have to do is go to Aladdin's house the first you visit that world before you meet Jasmin or Aladdin. He'll sell you stuff

They should totally add Tifa, Vincent, and Red 13 to the next KH game. I also think they should add Rikku from FF10 and the Momba cat things from FF8. There so cool. I also think there should be some Cloud and Tifa interaction along with more Sora and Kire interaction. As far as Disney characters I think that they should add Mushu from Mulan.

Wow, there's so many characters that'd I'd like to see in the PS2 graphics. ;)

I'd definately like to see the Turks. Doesn't matter whether their your enemies of allies, as long as we get to see them. Especially Reno. :p I wouldn't mind if Red XIII plays a role in it too.

Also, I REALLY think they should bring Seifer in, and have him as Squall's rival. It'd be an interesting continuation of the KH1 story. I also wouldn't mind Laguna and his goofball trio.
Lastly, I would very much like to see Amarant. Vivi would be cool too.

As far as Disney characters I think that they should add Mushu from Mulan.

Mushu is already in Kingdom Hearts 1. He just doesn't really play a large role in the story. But considring how you go to a 'Mulan' world in KH2, we might see Mushu as an actual character, and not just a summon.

I would also like to see Moomba's and Chocobo's in KH2, just to make it look cooler, and maybe even a couple of worlds which are FF based, instead of them all being Disney worlds.

I don't think there will be any more FF characters in KH2 besides Auron.After all, I think there will not be any characters from first to sixth FF.It's because of their characters(Even with their releases of these old good games with added FMV.There absolutely will not be characters from FF XI and FF XII.FFXI has a major difference from all FF and FFXII will come in the same time with KH2.So I think there is only four games left.And I don't think there would be any chars from FF IX.

I'd like to see world of The Lion King.There is lot of discussion about FF characters and not much about Disney characters.After all it is the name of the thread.It would be very interesting for me to hear your opinion:Would there be any more worlds than those we do know about.And if there would, which world do you think it will be?I know the ballroom from beauty and the beast is on there, Mulan is on there, Crazy Pete is on there, Riona is on there (different outfit). Um, I would totally love it if we saw our world out on there. You know CD players, video games, etc. We could play ourselves on there!!!!! I think it would be cool if Seifer was on there and maybe Fuujin if her speech is better.

They should definately put Quina and Cait Sith in, because in some ways they kind of fit with the Disney characters. Everyone else would just be awesome to see, especially Vincent and Shadow. And it would be nice for KH to have its own Biggs and Wedge. I hope Greiver205 is correct about the 5 FF characters and Vincent. As for Disney characters, I want to see Robin Hood and Camelot from Quest for Camelot. I'd also kinda like it if Jiminey Cricket appeared in more scenes like he did in KH: CoM. I just think that would be kinda cool.

in the forums at KingdomHearts2.net thats what i read so it may be true...and it also said that no characters from FF IX will be in the Kingdom Hearts games because they had a different creator and it wasnt Nomura...so he wont put them in the games since he did not create them...yep

I like the Darkwing Duck idea. Maybe the Rescue Rangers. Though I don't see why it has to focus so much on FF. The Disney side of things is kinda encompassing all of Disney. Their movies. And their characters from little skits and shows. So why shouldn't it have such a broad look for Square as a whole. Or even Squeenix. You know you want to see Crono and Frog.

Something insignificant like Cosmo Canyon and the Gi caves or Balamb Garden and the Fire cavern etc. It would Roxors and although Im already going to buy the game without a doubt Id definitely buy it tjust to play that level.

1. It would be too long
2. Little room for FF characters (Square has to get something in it too, otherwise it would just be Square making a Disney game and not a Disney and FF game.)
3. The Winnie the Pooh world annoyed me so much. I just wanted to get through it as fast as I could. No need to extend the torture.

But that's just my opinion.

They arent 'whoring out' those characters. They have to use characters designed by Nomura, and the characters from the other games are designed by Amano. Its not like they're intentionally trying to focus attention on those 3 games.

I'm not exactly sure. I dont think any information has been released, but it probably has to do with the amount of power Nomura has in the company. He's the director as well as the character designer for a lot of games. Not to mention that his certain style wouldnt meld well with Amano's designs (which I dont think look good in cgi). While the characters could be modified to look more like the KH world, maybe Amano wouldnt be okay with that.

Well FF6 I could completely see being integrated into 3D. Since when Square first began FF7 for the N64 they used FF6 characters in a 3D world, and it looked great. Plus when you have character art like this, it's easy to imagine a 3D model.

I really dont think that looked very good, but it's beside the point. I'm refering to the Amano style... like the FMVs for Final Fantasy Anthologies. I dont think Amano's style transfers well into 3D, it's too gentle and whispy. But regardless, there's a marked difference between Nomura's style and Amano's, and they probably dont mix extremely well.

For those curious, I've attached a picture of the actual graphic demo. The sd picture Vyk showed is from a set of character art (not done by Amano, by the by).

Glad you found what I was talking about. I spent forever looking for it (: Guess my memory was a bit shoddy. Though that's a typical N64 look. Very little detail and quite cutesy. But I still think it was a noble attempt. And with today's technology they could build off that and adapt it a little better. Amano's style aside. I realize he did the character portraits and stuff. But the in-game sprites for FF6 didn't look like his work either. Maybe I'm missing a legal issue, but I don't see how he could throw a fit if they did the same for a KH transfer. Something more like those N64 shots... just... better, hehe

Well it's not so much that they couldnt do it, it's that they'd have to drastically alter Amano's style. Which wouldnt be bad neccesarily, but I assume that's their reasoning. The in-game sprites didnt look like his style because of the sprite limitations.

I certainly would love Amano characters, Im just trying to think like the execs would. If they do xD

I totally agree. When i first went on the game, my first thought was
'What the!?!?' It is a great game, but I would like to see more Final Fantasy worlds, rather than just Disney worlds.

When I first heard about this game and the mention of the gummi ship, I thought it would have to do with the flying ships the Gummie Bears had... man I love the culture they had built up in that show. i would be good this time to include a ff9 character like Vivi and Stenier
Steiner could be Goofys 2nd in charge leader of Goofys knights and Vivi who is been trained by Donald! Also a list of other characters!!!
Steiner and Vivi couldn't be part of the Disney Kingdom. They'd be better suited for an FF original world. It could be that Steiner sees Goofy as . . . well, a goof, and takes it upon himself to train him. Donald could take on Vivi as a student and in the process of training him, learn more about the magic himself.
All the while, Sora is left to fight off hordes of Heartless without any help.
