And it should be after that horrendously long fight with Ultimecia! That goes on way too long, IMHO - its not like she's that hard, either, it just takes forever to whittle down her HP so every time I beat her I spend hours just mindlessly hacking. But congrats! :)

Thanks :D I know what you mean about her being not very hard. She wasn't a complete walk-over but I had no problems beating her really. Just hack hack hack, and I got Squall to do Lionheart 4 times, weee!

I'm also playing through FF7 for the very first time aswell, have just finished Disc 1... *sniffles and points to avatar* so a fair while til I see the ending scene for that. I love X's ending scene too, its fantastic and so sad at the same time.

I've never beaten FFVIII with my own game- but I've beaten it on my friends and family games who have it near the ending- or watch them beat it. I love the ending, especially with everyone using the video camera. It makes me all happy that they can start going back to some normality.

And as a fangirl I'll admit I *squeed* at Squall's smile and smoochy. ;)

Don't get me started on Squall's hotness, its just so depressing he's not real, ;) :D and yes the end smoochies are very cute.

It took me a really long time to beat the final boss, probably because only Squall was on L.100, everyone else was between 50 and 70.

I beat Ultimecia in 20 minutes, but then again, but Junctions were super...

I didn't find FFX's ending that sad, really. Maybe it's because I don't like Yuna or something. But FFVIII's.... Well, the Laguna&Raine-part always moves me.

well this is what i think i dont know what you say
i have played FFVII, FFVIII and FFIX and i have finished them all and i really think that FFVIII has a much better history and ending than the other 2 and yeah maybe ultimecia is not that difficult but...come on my friends told me that Sephirot was great that his sword downed your life a lot and that he was soooo difficult.....i didnt even have any problems with him even that i got dissapointed with him being so weak and FFIX was similar to aother FF i think is FFVI but i dont really know so i stick to what i have said FFVIII ROCKS

ff8 focuses mostly on the past which is what makes it unique 7 focuses on the present and past evenly and i cant figure out 9 but i just finished 7 and i think its great 8 was more of a challenge with bosses 9 was so fricken easy i was dissapointed. 8 and was harder but 7 hoo boy off the richter with Ruby and Emerald

yeah you see i noticed that 8 mostly focuses on the past which is what connects most of the chracters whilst 7 is mostly present as cloud is silent throughout most of the game but the thing is he does talk about the past in a few occasions but a majority where flashbacks or nightmares.

The forgotten FF? IX? Well, I'm about to start playing it for the first time tonight, it came in the post the other day from eBay and I havent started it yet but, if its really that easy...well I hope I like it. I play FF's for the stories, not the battles though, so hopefully the story is substantial enough to sustain me. I've seen the ending for 6,8,10 and 10-2 and I think 8 is the best out of that selection, just my HO.

Congrats btw, FFVIII was truely a romantic ending. Squall really did show his undying love to the woman of his dreams. :love:

I liked it better than all the other romantic endings of FF series.

I hear ya man! The ending is awesome and kicks a$$, not to mention tear-jerking at the same time. Oh gosh, especially the part where Squall was thinking about Rinoa while she was in space and then BAM! Her astro. mask busted! I was like DUDE!!!!

Anyways,
The first time I ever fought Ultimecia was a biatch. Since I was ignorant back then and unaware of AURA, I had a three hour battle with her using nothing but third level magic spells. It was worth it though!:love:
