I'm not sure, it could be off FFIX ya know because of the 'laa laa laa'. I can't tell what it is. Sorry. Maybe somone else will know.

Suteki da Ne, I'm sure, that's the only sung song in FFX.

I have that one, it's not...

I remember the setting was in a castle.. perhaps it's FFIX then?

It's not words, it's just like ''Laaa laa laa laaaa laa laa laaa'' in the tune I gave above

Melodies of Life, then. I didn't bother doing the piano thing.

Oh! Memories of Life if it's from FF9. Laa Laa Laa Laa~

Lucy

Well, if the game is FFX, it can only be Suteki da ne, if it was FFIX, it can only be Melodies of life.

FF6 in the Opera House, maybe. Celes sings that song where all she goes is "Laa laa laa."

Lucy

It was not words, it was the tune but ''Laa' and that was it, but in tune to the melody I gave above...

Not chanting but you get the idea i hope

was DEFINATELY either 9, 10 or 10-2...

You're really running out of songs.

If it's from IX it's Melodies of Life
If it's from X it's Suteki da Ne, or the song of prayer
If it's from X-2 it's Real Emotion.

Those're the only in game songs I know of.

The only 'la la la' song I can think of aside from Melodies of Life is from Chrono Cross.

Lucy
01-31-2005, 09:36 PM
those songs aren't laa laa laa, they are words

TheAbominatrix
01-31-2005, 09:38 PM
I'm well aware that they have lyrics. I'm telling you that there are no vocal songs 'La la la' or otherwise in any of those games save for the ones I listed.

well in FFX-2 there is Choir music where voices are used for ambiance or at least it sounds like that.

sounds like latin opera ''Oooh uuu ooo aaooom ''' ee
thats the style I mean

Like Song of Prayer

I think it's the song Yuna sings on X-2 when she is on the air-ship
Just before she screams "Who The Heck Is Lenne!?"
She sings along to the song, going "La" if this helps!

La la la lalalalala la la lalala. It's like the gullwings theme or something.

Lucy
01-31-2005, 09:49 PM
I distinctly remember it playing in a castle of some sort

m4tt
01-31-2005, 09:50 PM
There are no castles in X or X-2. You are thinking of Melodies of Life.

TheAbominatrix
01-31-2005, 09:50 PM
There's no castle in X.

There's only the song Garnet sings in IX, Melodies of Life, which goes 'la la la'

Little Miss Awesome

Then I think it's Final Fantasy 9

Listen to that. I bet that's what you're talking about. It's called "Song of Memories". It's what Garnet is singing during an FMV at Lindblum.

yes that's it! thanks ;)

you are the best

(But i think that one is japanese version.. the one I heard was sung in american :)

m4tt

How can "La" be japanese or american? o_O The only "words" in that song are "la" and "laa" and "laaa".

Lucy
01-31-2005, 10:08 PM
well in the one you linked its more ''La la la'' but in the one I heard it was more, '' Laaa laaaa laaa laaa''

I only remember 1,2,3,4,5 songs in FF games which have vocals in the acctual song.

Play them all and see which one sounds most like it. Personally, I think it's Melodies of life too.

FF8 - Eyes on Me - http://www.hamienet.com/midi18007.html
FF9 - Melodies of Life - http://www.hamienet.com/midi18129.html
FF10 - Suteki Da Ni - http://www.hamienet.com/midi21983.html
FF10-2 - Real Emotion - http://bluelaguna.net/music/ffx2/mp3s.php - Search for the song in the list
FF10-2 - 1000 Words - http://bluelaguna.net/music/ffx2/mp3s.php - Search for the song in the list

If it isn't any of those then I'm pretty sure you've got the wrong gaming series. xD

Edit: Boo. Lord Krang beat me to the punch.

I don't mean to be rude, but the one you heard was sung in English, not American

well, from playing trying to play the notes u gave, without any form of time reference :) i would say its Eyes On Me, the first four notes definatly sound like eyes on me :)

crono_logical

The first 4 notes do sound like Eyes on Me, but I played the whole thing and worked out the correct lengths of the notes, and it's Melodies of Life. Pretty nice java applet too :D

As for the "laa"s sounding the wrong length, it's because the version Matt posted is the soundtrack version. I'll attach the FMV version for you from the bonus soundtrack :p I'm not sure if EoFF hosts FF9 OST+ :p

Hey! I asked about this earlier in anotehr thread, but didn't get a reply.

Does anyone know about this song...
1. Supposed Epilogue of FFII.
2. Song (I Believe) is partially Japanese and American (had lyrics).
3. I think around 4 min. long but not sure.

I had it long ago and have since lost it and have looked for it for a while.

Can Anyone Help? :-)

If it's a Vocal from II it's probaby by Risa Ohki, from a Pray album. Look up Final Fantasy Pray albums on animenation or something.

EoFF hosts that particular album (http://www.ffdownloads.com/files/ftp.cgi?dir=Misc_Soundtracks/Final_Fantasy_Pray/) :p Track 2 (The Promised Land) is probably the one you're talking about, if it's from FF2.
