In chapter 1, does any1 no y when u get 2 the beach the commlink turns on,yuna answers ("yuna here") and there is a HUGE pause then buddy says "Its Nothin." Whats the point?

I've always assumed it was Brother who phoned Yuna just so he could hear her voice. Perhaps he fainted afterwards, who knows. He has a rather weird obsession with her, and it has spawned many a thread discussing the moral and legal implications of this infactuation.
