...do you wear pink dress shirts?

I do. Before pink use to be a female-exclusive color, but recently I've seen a lot of people wear them. Some even wear purple dress shirts.

But you know what they say: It takes a very secure man to wear pink. :aimwink:

Oh my god. All these guys are wearing pink lately. Maybe they take that "only real men wear pink" quote too seriously. I hate it. Men just should NOT wear pink unless it's a joke or something.

I probably wouldn't wear a pink shirt. I just wish my bright red one wasn't a few sizes too small for me, or I'd wear it. XD

Although I'm not one of those guys who automatically thinks anything pink is for girls and gays only, pink doesn't seem like a color that would go well on a dress shirt.

I agree :p It's weird O_o.
Alot of the guys in my gr.8 grad class, all ordered pink shirts (about 8 of 12), when the girls all ordered blue. I found it very creepy. Even some of their shoes are pink O_o.

My boyfriend brought a pink T-shirt outside a gig once as Pink happens to be his favourite colour.

Then when we got home, he tried it on and then realised that, it was infact, a girls T-shirt. It came up to about his belly button and made it look like he had hips. He gave it to me. :D

The strange thing is that there is no male equivalent of the colour pink. Although technically, one could argue that blue is, I think it isn't because it doesn't seem "strange" to see a female in blue.

IT'S NOT FAIR! :hot:

I should be able to have a colour that reaffirms my masculinity from time to time.

Yes, and I'm pretty surprised by all the backlash I'm seeing from girls on this matter. I only ever get compliments on my pinkness.

I don't see anything wrong with guys wearing pink. I don't see it very often, but it doesn't look out of place when I do see it.

I don't see what the big deal is. =/

It's not like Pink is an inherently feminine color. And before WWII Pink was considered the choice color for males while blue was the accepted color for females.

the generally accepted rule is pink for the boy and blue for the girl. The reason is that pink being a more decided and stronger color is more suitable for the boy, while blue, which is more delicate and dainty, is prettier for the girl."

I studied a bit of gender relations in the summer and I found that the divisions between males and females were far more fascinating than any of the other dividing lines in our society.

People can be so silly about the most unimportant things. I mean it's just a color.

I'm all for guys wearing whatever color they choose. :)

Well, there's a guys in pink trend trying to make itself popular, but I hope they fail, terribly. Unfortunately, a lot of guys has started to wear pink shirts, and some sweaters.

But y'know, this pink trend is like The Hansons, nobody should take them seriously, but there are suckers out there who does. :freak:

That was actually a decent book after a decent way through. It was really boring at parts too. Poor Vinny.

Umm no, I don't own anything pink. Straight dudes wearing pink seems to be a growing trend though. The ladies seem to love it.

I doubt any of these 'other' colours your bragging on about really exsist.

I wouldn't wear a pink shirt, simply because I don't think it would look very nice. Most of my shirts are neutral colours which I find very stylish, but I wouldn't wear a black and beige polka dot shirt because it would look horrible. Same goes for pink.

Anyway, the whole thing about security seems stupid to me. I feel as comfortable not wearing pink as a 'secure' man might feel when he does wear it. Why should colour say anything about your psychology anyway?

I have a bright pink shirt that I got from Hot Topic that says in big bold letters "Tough Guys Wear Pink!!". I wear it every once in a while. I also have a pink dress shirt, it's faint pink though, so it really doesn't stand out as pink unless you look at it for a while.

I wore pink long before the emos and preps did so. People questioned my sexuality as well. I wore pink and black, those were the only colors I wore.

As far as dress shirts go, I wear two colors: White, and Blue. Pink is not white, nor is it blue. Therefore, I will not wear pink dress shirts.

I'm sporting pink hair right now, yeah thats right, PINK HAIR. A friend Karley had some pink hair spray dye stuff and she hooked me up....I'm fabulous.

UltimaLimit
02-03-2005, 01:57 AM
NoAnd you can quote me on that. :)

I don't wear pink. I don't attack guys who wear pink, but I steer clear of them. I know it shouldn't matter, but even if I wanted to wear pink, I probably wouldn't simply because I'd end up getting jumped. More hassle than it's worth.

Besides, I'm one of those people that thinks pink is more of a "girl's" color, so... Blue is my favorite color, and I don't mind seeing girls in it. Good thing, too--jeans are pretty common.
