Why is MTV so stuck on being so raunchy?

I watched Gretchen Wilson perform for the pregame just a little bit ago. She did a much better performance than any of the MTV stars did the previous couple years. And was much more tasteful at the same time.

MTV needs to learn that you don't always need to have half naked girls on stage in order to get people's attention.

I agree whole-heartedly. Not even so much about the raunchiness, but their performers are horribly untalented. I love Gretchin's voice and I loved how they had REAL performers and REAL singing. No Ashlee Simpson crap, pure talent.

Sex sells better than musical talent. It's an obvious fact. Though, annoying.
