Hi guys, I`ve just deafeated aranea ( the fiend wen kinoc changes into) and now I`m up to lord Jyscal how the hell do ya beat this guy :confused:

Which floor is that on? What's the name of the fiend? I'd recognise it's name but I don't recall the person from which the creature transforms.

It`s a dark element on floor 40

These are the two ways I used to defeat this guy.

1) Use Dark Knight ability Charon for huge damage. If HP is high enough you can kill him in one hit.
2) Use Magical Masque Dance to stop his magic hitting you, then use Darkness with the Dark Knights.

He only has 9,999 HP.

After the battle you will receive Cat Nip, which makes everything (attack and healing) do 9,999 damage. Very handy with Gunner's Trigger Happy or Lady Luck's Four Dice.

I made a WHite Mage cast reflect, while the other two were alchemists. Then I made both of the alchemists mix Fire Gem and Holy Water. (For some reason, that is the only thing I ever mix!)
Then it dies!

It's possible the the Black Element will start the battle with an Ultima spell that will kill the girls. So, put one of the girls on the High Roads Wind GG (or anything that gives First Strike). Have her in either the Songstress or Dark Knight DSP. Then do what Darkness said. I prefer that Songstress option just because, but whatever works.
