Yup, a great anime, indeed. Best? No. Really good? Yes.

I plan to download the series and give it a go sometime but the 90+ episodes scare me.

The series was ok, at least the Shishyo part. After that it was kinda....<img src=http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif><img src=http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif><img src=http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif><img src=http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif>ty =/ I didnt like it after Shishyo. I've seen all the anime (By luck, they all came through the library) And I'm up to vol. 7 in the manga.

It's fairly good, but nowhere near the best. The first arc was only average, but the second one was very well done. If only the fight scenes were done better...

The Manga is definately better, mostly because the Anime skipped the final (and best), third arc. Also, I notice the drawings are generally done better in the Manga.

Anyways, I believe Rurouni Kenshin to be one of the best anime/manga series currently out there. If you like this, I'd recommend Blade Of The Immortal (another excellent manga series), and Ninja Scroll (an Anime film with gorgeous visuals).

I enjoy Rurouni Kenshin quite a bit, Manga and Anime, but I prefer Neon Genesis: Evangelion.

Yes, I will say it is the best that Cartoon Network has aired. This is my opinion, not to offend any Inuyasha fans. I love this anime and know everything about it, also have every episode (either on DVD or VHS(I recorded it all off of cartoon network and am waiting for walmart to get the rest mainly because they sell them for only 12.95!) and I have the entire Samuria X collection (all 4 movies). Sadly, Rurouni Kenshin is over and has taken a back seat for the time being, because I started watching Saiyuki and Samuria Deeper Kyo ( only 26 episodes to collect~easy for beginners to start out with in 6 DVDs.) Saiyuki rules I have Saiyuki DVD volumes 2-6 currently and have Saiyuki Reload Vol. 1 now (only volume 1 is out currently)
