I love this band. I love Gerard Way's voice, it's so cool and unique and I love the energetic vibe of the music. What do you think of them? I wouldn't really consider them emo since their lyrics are complete bs like New Found Glory's and Simple Plans, but if they have to be called emo, I'd say they're part of the good not so mainstream emo like Coheed and Cambria. Plus Gerard doesn't sound constipated.

I'm Not Okay is probably one of my least favourite songs by them, though it's good. I like "Do You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us In Prison" "Cemetary Drive" "To The End" "I Never Told You What I Do For A Living" and "Thank You For The Venom" the best from their latest album.

I've heard "I'm not okay.. I promise". I must agree with you, the lead singer's voice is interesting. Hehe, I like Coheed and Cambria.

I have friends who like 'em.. personally I'm more of a Taking Back Sunday girl.

I don't like them. I downloaded most of the songs on that list you gave, and I don't like any of them.

They are far too.... light. I mean, I listen to emo from time-to-time. Hell, two of my favourite bands are in the general "emo" category. But MCR just represents everything bad about this current "mainstreamo movement". An off-key singer. A heavy guitar in the background, and a whinier guitar in the forefront. A bassist that nobody notices (well, that applies to all forms of music, really). A drummer who is generally OK when it comes to keeping time, but who overdoes it. And song titles longer than the Great Wall Of China.

Frankly, I'm getting sick of it. :)

I actually think Gerard is a good singer. He doesn't have the freakishly high NFG voice like he was kicked in the balls.

My Chemical Romance is iffy at best IMO.

I took up someone's suggestion of getting I'm Not Okay, I Promise...and it was the worst free song I got. I hate it.

Someone was right, the singer's voice is always off-key. He has one of the worst voices in the music industry IMO.

I'm not a fan of emo, but this is one of the worst bands in emotional IMO.

Good video, ok song, singer looks like an eight year old girl that cuts herself, generally not that bad. The speed of pop-punk with the whining of emo.... an unholy union at best. Saves The Day = best emo band.

I've only heard "I'm Not Ok", "Helena", "Headfirst For Halos" and "Thanks For The Venom" and from just looking at those last 3 song titles had me going, "What strange titles. They must be emo". Anyways, they are probably one of the best bands I have ever heard. They're energetic, you can dance to their songs, the lead singer sounds good and really that's all I've got to say about them so far but yeah they're really good and Simple Plan and NFG will never EVER compare to these lot. And plus the band member (the guitarist I think) who pulls the cheerleader's eye lash out in the video for "I'm Not Ok" is really fitt lol

CoCa isn't emo, they're progressive rock, and infinitely superiour to MCR.

While MCR isn't horrible, they're just not very special. A very typical mainstream emo band.
