When Cloud has mako poisoning, he quotes a song from Xenogears, and says "Zenogias" - the japanese name for the game! I can't remember the exact lyrics now, maybe someone can post them!

It was "Zenogias" because FFVII was translated by Sony, who, at the time, had no way of understanding the reference and therefore no way of knowing how to translate it correctly. It was fixed to say "Xenogears" in the PC version.

But yeah, Cloud goes on to babble about stolen angels' singing voices and a billion light shard fragments and so on. References to the lyrics from the vocal theme.
