Here is the jist. We pretty much stand for everything that is Anti-EoFF. Flaming, spamming, dissing the staff and against the rules in general.

Now for a bit more of an elaboration.

Flaming - Someone is complaining about how they just broke up with the love their life. Then you find out they are 13. LET THEM HAVE IT! Someone calls your taste in something stupid? LET THEM HAVE IT! Someone says your an idiot because you believe in something...thats right. LET THEM HAVE IT!

Spamming - Ain't nothing wrong with some spam yo. Word Association, one word story and all sorts of game threads are great fun for people to participate in...AND YET THEY ARE BANNED HERE! Also going off topic. If that is the way the conversation is going then let it. You don't stop people in real life and go "stop deviating the conversation from what we originally started talking about. Get back on topic". NO! Thats just retarded and people would look at you funny.

Dissing the Staff - They got the power so already its a must by the laws of "Hate the ones with power". Posting in closed threads because they have some extra spam to say? Why not just leave the thread open. I have stuff to say also...oh wait. I can't abuse my non-existant powers. Feedback forum is full of these types of topics.

Against the rules in general - Swearing, +1 type posts, flaming, spamming, porn, and more.

Now that you know what we stand for and what our cause is all about...JOIN NOW! Don't want to abandon your other party? You can still join. How many people vote on a straight party line in real life? You can do both and support both.

Hahah though, ed, I have to admit, going off topic is fun! :) This is an interesting party but I dunno if I should join considering I'm already in the Pink party and we stand for like, everything opposite :p You guys should combine with the ANT party though, it's pretty similar, and then we can have 7 parties~ xD

Jojee

Three words for you : Not. Biologically. Mature.

Please do explain. ^_^;

Lindy
02-13-2005, 12:32 AM
At the around age of 13, you hit puberty, well earlier for girls, a little later for boys.

Hormones, swimming around in your body, causing pretty massive changes. The whole concept of attraction is determined by hormones and such anyway, so what happens when growth, sex and other hormones all interact? Uh-oh, big problems.

Also, certain regions of the brain aren't full formed in pre-pubescents, so there's an inability to fully comprehend thoughts related to "love", and it's just a crush, or a simple idea of hormones taking over being misinterpreted as love.

Explained enough for you?

Jojee
02-13-2005, 01:12 AM
No, not really.

I think you underestimate thirteen year olds :) Some may not be able to comprehend thoughts related to love as you say (I wouldn't know, I wasn't one of them ^_^), but from my experience, a good number of them can. Age isn't really a good generalization for things like that. Six year olds have crushes; I'm sure many people will attest to having a crush in first grade. Many kids are still growing/going through puberty at the age of seventeen (I know guys a lot older than thirteen whose voices have not yet developed). I really don't see what the "big problems" that you claim are.

Love isn't so big a mystery as some make them out to be -- anyone can love, whether it is love for their family, their friends, or their significant other. People define their own love. Who are you to say whether or not their love is the "real" love? Who are you to tell an upset thirteen year old that their problem isn't real because they can't fully "understand" love, based only upon their age? That's not brutal honesty, that's called disregard of others through ignorance and generalization.

Lindy
02-13-2005, 01:32 AM
Hah, the only ignorance is that of the person with their so-called "problem", if you sugar-coat things, make it sound better so you don't hurt them, they'll only be hurt more when they find out things for real.

And age IS a good generalisation for these things, like I said, at that age they're not biologically mature.

Emotional maturity comes with, you guessed it, AGE.

It is brutal honesty, because it's the truth and it hurts, and if that isn't brutal honesty then I don't know what the hell is.

I KNOW what "love" at a young age can do anyway, I take the example of some relatives of mine, they found each other at an early age, and the woman had decided that she was in "love" with the boy, and he didn't know any better so went along with it. Fifteen or so years later, they're married, have kids, the man doesn't know any better than his wife, he's never experienced anyone other than her, and I could actually describe him as pretty emotionally underdeveloped.

A few months ago, they broke up, the woman had grown tired of her husband, and he'd grown tired of her. He's moved on, met other people, had a number of relationships and above all had FUN, and he's grown up more in those few months than he had in all those years.

And why was he so underdeveloped? Because he'd confused love with lust at a young age, and never know any better. He admitted that himself, and now he's in a happy relationship with someone who he IS in love with, not someone he was with because he simply believed what he'd been told.

If someone had told him at a younger age about what he was feeling, and how wrong he might be, his life may have turned out a lot better, he may have found happiness long before he did.

THAT is what a lack of brutal honesty can do to a person.

Lindy
02-13-2005, 01:54 AM
Loved, lost, blah blah blah.

The reason why I can and do say these things is because I WAS a stupid idiot who believed in love at a young age (about 15~16, I think), but a sweet dose of brutal honesty snapped me out of it, and now I AM in love, and I'm happy about it, and I know I couldn't fall for any kind of fake "love" again BECAUSE I know how that felt and so on.

That and the fact that it never made me happy and always made me worry, but now I am happy.

It has to get worse before it gets better, and it has to break before you can fix it.

P.S. : Is this enough thread-hijacking to qualify for true "Anti-Eoffship", or is there not enough swearing?

Hehee sorry Del xD ...But it does go with their theme of going off topic O=)

Lindy, I'm glad you found your love ^^ And I agree that experience does help. However I do believe that I found something special at the age of thirteen. We're not together anymore and I am with someone else who I dearly love, but I'm not going to dismiss my past experience as a crush. I did have experiences before that, though, where I thought I liked someone and it turns out that I did not.

Anyway I don't even know why we're discussing this at all ;)

Ummm. Back on topic! Maybe. *shifty eyes*

The brain isn't fully developed to handle rational decision-making until you're about 20. The further you are from that mark, the more full of <img src=http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif><img src=http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif><img src=http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif><img src=http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif> you are when you talk about love. This could be miniscule around the 18-ish mark, when that part of the brain might be fully developed(or damn close to it), but 13? No way.
13-year-olds don't have any idea what love is. Actually, I'd say many 18-20-year-olds don't either.

Anyway, back on topic(*snickers at the irony*), this party's pretty neat, but Unne will destroy it.

25? Ah, I might have been mistaken in my numbers. It's been a couple of years since genetics. Well, one year. Shut up.

EDIT: Actually, I was specifically talking about the part of the brain dealing with rational thought, so I still may have been right. I'm too tired and lazy to look it up, though.

Well, he's typing the actual word which comes out as skulls, you have to consider that Raistlin. Of course, I don't care about the censor. The skulls are pretty cool to look at.

How do you know?

2. :skull::skull::skull::skull:

One of them I typed a bad word, and the other I just typed out the skull smiley. Can you tell the difference? :p

I can. The first one is just skull image links and the second one is the bad word.

1 is the bad word. :)

Raistlin

xD

Incidentally, I just found a way to determine that, but it's completely irrelevent. The main point is that, just looking it it, you can't determine if it really was a swear word or not, and, if so, which one it was.

I wonder if it is Linus, ed or perhaps Bonnie that is behind all of this. Whoever it is, good work. ;)

I have just been informed that we need to make a list of what forum people represent. I need to make a list by tomarrow of who is representing what forum. I imagine heartshot will take EoEO or this forum. Everything else is fair game besides FFVII and FFI-IV. Sephex and Hotshotsguy already bitched at me to take them.

So due to this revelation that was not entirely brought to my attention...everyone in the party has until lets say 5pm(central time...the one TRUE time) tomarrow to PM me. After 5 I give you a forum to represent due to time restricts. Hell...you can post it here if you want. I don't give a <img src=http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif><img src=http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif><img src=http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif><img src=http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif>.

I added Silverlocke. Look on the front page everyone because I assigned you all a forum I though you might like to represent on some level. I tried my best and I think I did an okay job. Also we have an offical party signature now...which I could care less if you use. If you want to then good...if not then good.

Apathy...its whats for dinner.
