I have all of Wakka's overdrives, and I'm trying to get his sigil.
I am currently 46-2, and I've played about 4 hours of blitzball. (Accumulative)
WHEN WILL IT END?!

Sadly, I was aware of the fact that you HAVE to play blitzball to get it :-(
My question was more of a time frame...
If I am 46-2, that means I've played 48 games....Each game is rougly 15 minutes, right?
So, 48 * 15 = 720 minutes.
720 / 60 = 12 hours.
That means I've played 12 hours of blitzball, and I still don't have the sigil.
Again, how many frickin' games do I need to play?
*Note: My attitude towards Wakka is now altered. I'm never going to heal him in battle again.

To get Wakka's sigil you need to have all four overdrives, which you have. There is then a 50% chance that the Jupiter Sigil will be offered for coming First Place in a League. All you need to do is finish a League and exit to the field screen (the one you move about in). Save the game. Go into the blitzball menu and highlight League. If the Jupiter Sigil is offered then play the league. If not, sorft reset (all shoulder buttons + Start + Select), load the game and look again.

Doing what Darkness said you can obtain all of Wakka's Overdrives and his Sigil in no more (and no less) than 26 games.

One hour of blitzball is not worth getting Wakka's sigil, much less twelve hours of it. Yes, I hate blitzball.

Getting Wakka's celestial weapon has to be the most annoying one to get from all of the characters. Well, getting Tidus' was annoying too

Right - don't participate in the tournament unless the Sigil is offered. It sucks, I know. I was so sick of Blitz by the time I got it I was ready to scream, but it was worth it. Calculating the time its gonna take you is just depressing, so don't bother. ;-)

I dunno, sometimes you can get in blitzball moods where you're content to play game after game after game, but it does take a friggin' long time.
but it's accomplishable, much more so than tidus or lulu.

It took 3 tries and 30 mins to get Lulu's. It took about 2 hours to get Tidus'. :>
Thanks for the tips guys, I wish I knew that before I played 12 hours of BB ...

I really don't care for blitzball myself, but my bf is absolutely hooked.
I have all four overdrives now, still going for the sigil :)

Doing what Darkness said you can obtain all of Wakka's Overdrives and his Sigil in no more (and no less) than 26 games.
How's that? First, you have to do a tournament to get the Attack Reels. But when you go to do a tournament, you are going to activate a league. So you are going to have to play through that league to get to another league that will offer the Status Reels. Then you do another tournament to get the Auroch Reels, but again you are going to activate another league. So you have to play through that league to get to another league with the Jupiter Sigil. So, if you get seeded during both tournaments, I'm counting 44 games.

The minimum amount of games you can play to earn all of the Reels and the Sigil is 26.
First of all in order to get the Reels to show up at all you must have fought in 250 battles for Status Reels and 450 for Auroch Reels. It doesn't matter if Wakka was in your group during the battles or if you fled or whatever, just as long as you've been in at least that many battles.
Once you've won Attack Reels from a tournament just reset the team data (you'll lose your levels and any signed players you had but you can get all of that stuff back once you're finished getting the Reels and Sigil if you want) until Status Reels shows up as a League prize. Play 10 games, win SR, then reset until Random Reels shows up as a tournament prize. Rinse and repeat once more until the Sigil shows up as a League prize.
Attack Reels - 3 games
Status Reels - 10 games
Auroch Reels - 3 games
Sigil - 10 games
You can also use the Soft Reset method to change prizes rather than resetting your team data. The up-side is that you wont lose any of your BB players' stats. The downside is that it can take a lot longer for the prize you want to show up.

Oh, you are resetting the team data *cough*cheating*cough* j/k
Well, if you get seeded in both tournaments, then you only have to play 2 games per tournament, so you can really do it in only 24 games. :D

Well I wouldn't consider it any more of a 'cheat' than say using the Don Tonberry trick to acquire AP or resetting in FFVIII when the Card Queen doesn't go where you want her to but your sarcasm has been dully noted. ;)
If you're a masochist then by all means, play through dozens and dozens of matches of Blitzball. :p
And I'm not entirely sure what you mean by 'seeded' but I'll take your word on that matter.

Definition of being 'seeded'
There are three rounds to a tournament; quater finals, semi finals and the final. Four teams enter into the quater finals. The winner of each of these matches plays the 'seeded' team in the semi finals. The winner of this match will go on to play in the final. Thus, there are two teams who have only had to play two matches (semi finals and finals). Find attached a crude diagram illustrating this point.

This is also called 'Getting a Bye'
which is really useful, unless the tournament you're in is playing for points.
then it really really sucks.
