View Full Version : The Official Beer of EoFF...

Doc Sark

Everything these days has an official beer, I think EoFF should be no exception to this rule and is crying out for its users to come together in deciding which beer is the greatest of them all and is worthy of attaining the prestigious title of "Offical Beer of Eoff"

It's simple really. What is the beer that eclipses the existence of all other beers. The beer that looks down from its heavenly perch and pities all lesser beers. Choose wisely friends, and if the beer you love so dear isn't listed in the poll, please select other and name your nomination in a post.

I thank you.

Out of those I've only tasted Heineken, San Miguel, Carlsberg and Corona. I'll pick Corona then, I guess. Oh, and before I forget it: är ni svensk förr helvette?

All the "beers" you've described are poor excuses for alcohol based beverages with little to no taste what so ever.

I wouldn't even lower myself to calling awful things like Stella Artois or Budweiser "beer".

And Fosters and XXXX? Very Australian, when they're brewed in ENGLAND.

<s>I vote null.</s>

Oh wait, you had Hoegaarden on there, I like that.

Beer sucks. :)

If I'm going to drink alcohol, nothing lower than 30% will do.

I've never had beer before. So I won't vote. :)

Looks like some very clever mod added Beer Sucks to the list. It leaves me asking myself a question that I often find myself asking. Why bother opening or contributing to a thread you have no interest in. You're never gonna get those seconds or minutes of your life back people.

I mean honestly, if you don't like Beer. Don't vote. What's the point in changing the poll options?

I voted for Corona, but I haven't even heard of half of those on the list let alone taste them.

Considering that the average EoFFer is only 16 and not of drinking age, this poll is kind of in the wrong place. No, I'm not the one who altered your poll.

Doc Sark

I appreciate that but there are many members of EoFF aged 18 and over. 18 being the legal drinking age throghout much of Europe and even younger in some places. I am aware that it is 21+ in the USA but we have lots of members aged 21+ aswell. There's been enough favourite crisps, ice cream, etc etc threads in the past, why not have a best beer thread?

EDIT: Whoever changed it back...thank you.

There isn't really an official beer. The official alcoholic beverage would most likely be Bacardi, though.

lol.

I was going to put Guiness in but I was worried some bright spark would come along and say that it wasn't technically a "beer".

Guiness is a very good choice miss.

I like a Caffreys myself. Irish bitter is the best bitter by a mile. John Smiths and Boddingtons just can't compare.

You listed all of those but no Guinness? What is wrong with you. Guinness is the only beer I have ever tasted that was decent.

Most Guiness is brewed in Nigeria.

Very Irish.

Doc Sark
02-14-2005, 01:24 AM
The original recipe was Irish. Just because it is brewed in another country for whatever dubious financial reasons the brewery has, doesn't make it any less Irish.

It does sound cool doesn't it. I wasn't sure of it's international reputation, but in the U.K it's the beer that you get when you go to a Chinese restaurant.

Beer? *shrugs* Maybe we should have a "official Liqour of EoFF" thread, but meh.

As far as beer goes, i abstain from voting. I'm in hillbilly town, the only beer i get my hands on is bud in a cooler leftover from a race weekend, so yeah. bud sucks though.

I'm pretty sure Corona would be the official beer of EoFF, but I voted for Stella Artois. Where's Harp, or Pilsner Urquell, or Newcastle though?

HAHAHAHA Beer is rotten!Well the only beer worth even mentioning is German beer, Spaten or Erdinger! But if any of you ever come to Ireland drink Guinness-its good for you and once you develop a taste for it then you won't touch any other drink!!!

Hurrray my first post completed!

At the risk of isolating myself from my Australian kin, I'd agree with the sentiment that beer is too weak. For its alcohol content, in my opinion it tastes pretty bad too.

I think that Leffe is the best beer- they normally only serve it in half pints cos its pretty strong, and it has a double F in the name....coincidence?? i think not!!! Guinness is pretty darn amazing too, although isn't it actually a Stout, or is that just a subdivision of beer?

yummy!!

damn boris, Guiness is :barf: lol, :D I should know, I went on a weekend clubbing to Dublin for my best mates birthday and was forced to drink the stuff every damn night. Ug!! I voted stella because its the only beer I have any history with, I've only tried about 6-7 of the others and cant really remember what they taste like. If it had been a general spirits poll I probably would have voted Baileys!

I think the official beer should be Pabst, because it's no more than water with beer flavoring. Metaphorically, it tries to be a real beer but really just fails at it. You make the final connection.

To Bud, or not to Bud? (and Stella instead).

Tis a tough one. I drink more Stella, but prefer the taste of Bud.
