8-Bit Theatre. It's an online comic which parodies the original Final Fantasy, and it is nothing short of hysterical. I'm surprised no one mentioned it yet, as it has become fairly prominent.

Several conversations I've had with my friends about Final Fantasy:

Me: If Cait Sith's weapon is a megaphone, which he uses to shout commands to the huge toy mog he rides, why is it the stronger he is, the stronger the stuffed mog's attack is?

Friend: Maybe he yells louder?

We concluded several other things as well:

-The reason Cait Sith's dice attack gets stronger the more times he uses it is because practice makes perfect. Yes, with dice.
-The reason Vincent's attack gets stronger even if he uses the same gun is because the stronger he is, the harder he pulls the trigger.

-The reason Vincent's attack gets stronger even if he uses the same gun is because the stronger he is, the harder he pulls the trigger.

Because Vincent becoming better at aiming at an enemy's vitals is completely out of the question.

Nothing. Idiots coined it as a funny statement, and then the brains of the masses have mutated into a state or warped perversion until they translated the statement as something that is ridiculous, since the aforesaid beings thought that it was ridiculous.

Really, it's a perfectly plausibnle line, and it is one that I use. It is quite threatening enough and not really funny at all unless you take it out of context because you think that you're supposed to, or unless you're following some crowd.

Mine is on FFI DoS, in the lifespring grotto, when you run into Gilgamesh. "I'd say you've been hitting the Oxyale a bit hard if you beleived THAT!" (When he offers to give you Excalibur) :D Also on VIII when Seifer tells Questis to wish luck to a bad student who needs it. Questis: "Good luck, Seifer." ;) Oh, and The Emperor in FFII- "You should consider what I am about to do a great honor. I shall kill you personally!" Don't know why, but I love that line. :cool:

I agree with Kawaii. Garland, the evil time traveling SOB whips out "I will knock you all down" is lame. He might as well have said "I want to hurt you" or " I like ballerinas!" A final boss should be intimidating. His goal wasn't to kill you, it was to simply knock you on your backside. Not too tough.

I always thought that Kefka was hillarious. In the middle of the desert he gets pissed that theres sand on his boots. And how he 'bounces' anytime things don't go his way. Funny stuff.

IN FFVIII, on the way to the first mission:

Zell, everytime he goes to get hotdogs, and there's none there.

In FFX, whenever Wakka says "I'm gooooood, ya!?!?" after killing an enemy. This cracks me up :p .

In FFX, the part when they're walking up mt gagazet (I think), and wakka and tidus are shoving each other or clowning around in the background, or something. :p I find it funny, especially given the seriousness of the situation.

And of course Cid in FFVII. The way he swears on his chick is priceless, haha. #@%&!

I don't find Final fantasies that funny, but the satires that people make of them are humorous, like the entire FFIV "Ahh.. the power of cheese" thread amuses me.

okay...im sure you just moved that pictures or stopped it at a strange angle but id say the bit that cracks me up most in FF4 is when edge is helping cid mod the airship then edge walks of to rydia(seems as there isnt any sppeech bubble in that scene youll have to guess that edge was flurting.)then cid drags him away.just imagine what theyd be saying if there was speech bubbles,it would make the scene loads funnier.
also i like the bit where cid and tellah start arguing and throwing old codger insults at each other.
