Can we leave threads in feedback open even after the feedback has been resolved? All these locked threads make the place seem closed, and that makes me cry.

Perhaps, one has to ask a more complex question, or one with multiple answers?

Take care all.

Most of them stay opened. The ones that are closed are that way for a reason.

eestlinc

well yes, there certainly are some that need to be closed.

Just make it a two question thread like The Captain said.

Ex.:
Can you add this stupid feature to EoFF? Also, what is the meaning to life? I guarantee the thread will stay open for a long time.

Such a thread should be moved to General Chat!

EDIT: That is, after the first question has been answered.

Why not split to General Chat, then we can still have a closed thread in Feedback :monster:

eestlinc

why not just leave them open? it's not like feedback gets cluttered or anything.

Because they have to keep limits on this thing, otherwise Feedback would be overwhelmed by its sheer awesomeness.

eestlinc
02-19-2005, 12:24 AM
why would you want to limit the awesomeness of your message board?

Raistlin

I dunno. Ask the mods that close the threads in Feedback.

I just did.

Don't look at me. If I've closed any in here, it's because they turned into a massive argument that wasn't going anywhere.

eestlinc

that is when closing a thread is useful.

I hate you, RSL. :mad2:

Give it time, Denners. :)

Time? it doesn't deserve that, why should I give it?

Please no longer spam this thread or I'll be forced to BAN YOU.

If you spam up my perfectly good thread I'll close it myself!

Can we have a "no feedback for me" member group?

Denmark
02-21-2005, 06:12 PM
really, how many people even use the Feedback Forum, let alone abuse it?

Cz
02-21-2005, 07:20 PM
The answer to both is twenty-seven.

Seriously, almost every member who's ever used feedback has been guilty of spamming it to some degree. Those who haven't have normally fallen foul of the 'Things you will be made fun of for asking' thread.

Speaking of which, when are we going to start taking that thread seriously? :D

eestlinc

I have never spammed in feedback. Help, however...

Denmark
02-22-2005, 04:42 PM
I would never spam in help. Posting pieces of obvious and somewhat sarcastic advice is not spamming.

And look, right now, we're spamming this thread. Such an observation has compelled me to create another thread. 2 threads in 3 days. Sheer madness.

I hate all of you.

I've changed my mind. All threads should be closed. All.
