From the beggining of the story,they seem close,they tease each other etc..
They seem attracted to each other,but the question is does Gippal really like Rikku and vice versa?

It is generally assumed that they have been in a relationship with each other prior to the time of FFX-2. I guess after the antics of FFX Rikku returned home (where ever that may be) and embarked on a romantic escapade with Gippal. When she became a sphere hunter she decided all the travelling she would be doing would have adverse effects on their relationship so she broke it off. Of course, I'm only speculating.

At one point Gippal even says "We made quite the couple.", although Rikku acts like this isn't true. I don't think there was anything between them, but that they just flirt a lot.

they so were a couple! Rikkus just embaraced. Is there any other ingame info? i know you find out about them if you go to Djose (chap 2?) when it isnt a hot spot. i alwasy thought that the 3 guys and girls go together, rikku and gippal, paine and nooj , yuna and barali. forget about Le Blanc i think that should have happened if you get the normal ending and tidus dosn't come back
