You may wanna start asking around for emo, because that's what a lot of those bands are classified as, far as I know. Try Muse, if you havent already.

Nice List, Noname. :) I heart Arcade Fire, they're awesome. But I wouldn't consider a few of those Rock. Like Sigur Rós and M83. But the both of them still kick arse. And I agree with Cid on The Killers, I don't think they belong there, imho.

But, I'm not sure on the whole Indie label. I've always thought it meant the bands that don't get much attention from a lot of the public's eyes, I mean the bands have a large number of fans, but are hardly seen on the television or played on the radio. But I'll give some kind of stab at some of the bands I've heard being called Indie.

The Fiery Furnaces
Metric
Wolf Parade
The Unicorns
Blonde Redhead
Controller.Controller

Ehh, I'm still not so sure on this. So I hope nobody jumps down my throat or anything. :P

The Subways
Franz Ferdinand (Are rubbish)
Charlottle Hatherley
Snow Patrol

Is her album out yet? She has a nice voice, I was wanting to see how she'd do without Tim.

Yeah it's out. Entitled "Grey Will Fade". It's pretty good, some tracks arn't as good, but okay. No real rubbish ones. Stand out tracks IMO are "Summer" "Rescue Plan" "Kim Wilde" & "Bastardo".
She's alright Live as well, but her music (Like Ash) works better in a small arena, not a big one.

Out of those listed in the thread:

I rather like The Killers right now, Hot Fuss is a great album.

I've heard one or two Death Cab For Cutie songs, but no more than that. Okay, I guess, I'd really need to hear more of them to say anything more than that.

Snow Patrol are rather great.

Feeder are Indie now?

As far as the Stereophonics go, I like one, possibly two songs, but I wouldn't say any more than that.

Interpol are rather good too, though I've only heard the stuff on Antics.
