Sin (Head)

Has anyone got any advice on how to defeat Sin's head, because his Overdrive Gauge fills up way too quickly, and I never get the chance to beat him. I've tried using Haste on my Characters but it doesn't really help.

Try switching an aeon in to take the blow, and if that dosen`t work just get your most powerful characters and whack away! thats wot I did and I beat him!

HP: 140000

STRATEGY:
While Sin draws you in, cast stuff like Hastega and Cheer (Don't bother with protect as you rarely get attacked). Once you are close enough for combat, hit him with armour break and Quick Hit. Once he is down to around 100000HP, you have two options:

HAVE ANIMA: Summon her and use Pain over and over. Casting haste on herself would also help. Right at the end, use Oblivion to finish him off. NOTE: Do NOT use any aeon overdrives before the end, as it takes too long for them to recover.

DO NOT HAVE ANIMA: Use attacks like Self-Destruct and Spare Change to bring him down. Once his HP is low and his overdrive is almost full, summon Bahamut and send him back to hell with Mega Flare. Alternatively you could unsportingly use Yojimbo.

Another way is to use Trio of 9999 (Mix lvl3 or 4 key sphere with a wing to discovery, underdog's secret, or pendulum)

To Old Manus= Where do I get a Wing to Discovery, Underdog's Secret, or Pendulum?

Wings to Discovery: Bribe a Malboro for 135,000 gil.
Underdog's Secret: Collect all 26 Al Bhed Primers and talk to Rin on the Airship.
Pendulum: Bribe Ultima Weapon for around 2500000 gil. (really expensive option.)

try using bahamuts impulse against any part of sin.when i used it it did 999999 damage on him

You can get thirty wings to discovery by racing the chocobo round the remiem temple and opening three chests, by the way I got game over when I switched in an aeon, but I thought it was a glitch!

You can also use Doors to Tommorow to make Trio of 9999. You can steal them 10 at a time from Ultima Weapon very easily, or by making Catastrophe in the Monster Arena.

Do a lot of fighting with Bahamuth and he'll whipe out Sin with one Impuls or Overdrive.

Have you been by the omega ruins yet? That might be where you want to start.

with your capture weapons on, for sure.

It's not as fun beating Sin after beating down on the Omega Ruins, considering Omega Weapon is more powerful than the final boss...

Anyway, try to get at least one Celestial Weapon (Doublecasting Ultima for 1 MP cost with about 11,000 damage apiece really expedites things)
or, you can make sure Wakka has Attack Reels and is well leveled, (If he can inflict 9999 damage per hit, that will take off most of Overdrive Sin's HP)

First, it will make the Sin battles (and the final bosses) much more easier if you have the following abilities: Curaga, Hastega, Doublecast, Ultima, Flare, Quick Hit, Full Life, Auto-Life, Copycat, and Entrust. The Celestial Weapons also make it easier.

Tidus=Caladbolg
Yuna=Nirvana
Auron=Masamune
Wakka=World Champion
Kimahri=Spirit Lance
Lulu=Onion Knight
Rikku=Godhand


Some Weapon/Command abilities also help. For example, Equip Yuna and Lulu with weapons bearing One MP Cost and Magic Booster, and teach them Doublecast, Ultima, and Flare. Also, have Rikku in your party with a weapon that has the Gillionaire ability. From Sin on, you'll find that with a weapon like Godhand, she'll make 100000+ after each battle.

Start with Tidus, Lulu, and Yuna.

Cast Hastega, then have Lulu doublecast Flare or Ultima, and have Yuna do the same or make her cast Holy. (It helps if Lulu has the Onion Knight and Yuna have Nirvana) Then if possible have Rikku Copycat it. (<-- Works best if Rikku's magic attribute is high) Have Auron, Tidus, and Wakka, and Kimahri use their overdrives. (Masamune, Caladbolg, and World Champion are all useful) If Kimahri learned the Nova Lancet ability, use it when he hits overdrive. If you can, use Rikku's Spare Change ability and toss 100000 Gil for 9999 damage. Have Rikku Mix for Trio of 9999 or Supernova. If Sin's overdrive guage gets to 3/4 full and over, have Yuna summon aeons that have the Break Damage Limit (Anima, Bahamut, and The Magus Sisters. And if you have the celestial weapons, (Nirvana, World Champion, Spirit Lance, Onion Knight, and Masamune) use Valefor, Ifrit, Ixion, Shiva, and Yojimbo)


This strategy hasn't failed me yet. You should try it. :D :p :) :cool:

Nulspells are a must here, I think the sequnce is the same as the second time you fought him, also if your lvls aren`t that high go in2 battle with all your aeons overdrives, he only has 80,000 hp so overdriving all your aeons should kill him

this game is too easy.
i beat all the bosses from yunalesca till the end with yojimbo. i give him 2000 gil and he does zanmatto almost every time. now i release its that easy, i cant be bothered to max my character's stats. :(

Ah, Seymour Omnis, coolest fight in the game, coolest music also. You can either use Nul spells, the Aeon Overdrives or you can customise your characters' armour so that they absorb all of the elemental spells. He's pretty easy after that.

Okay, your characters should be at a suitably high lvl now, firstly if you want to take the yu pagodas out( statues) You`ve got to hit them for exactly 9999, so use flare, ultima and holy if it doesen`t work (it didn`t for me) instead just leave them, a good idea is to just go in with your aeons on overdrive, plus usin Tidus to talk to Jecht lowers his defences so try to overdrive him then wit your characters!

SOrry to dig up this post, but I just fought Overdrive Sin, and it was quite possibly the easiest boss fight i've been in.

First, I used Lulu's Ultima Fury overdrive and got 6 rotations, then I summoned the Magus Sisters with Yuna, and used 'Combine Powers!' - all of them had overdrive. That did about 64k. Then, I just attacked...Mindy used Passado, and then Sandy used Razzia for a good 50k overkill.

Easy as pie.

Emily and I have both said that we put in an aeon in to take the blast of sins overdrive but it didn`t work it just went right through my aeon, the screen went white and then the devilish words game over appeared

that happened to me too. what, do we all need help on od sin or something? someone told me use Yojimbo's overdrive and hes like god and stuff and etc. so use him but he costs so much money and the guidebook says that whatever he wants, pay half of it. does that work?

best thing to do is what i did, get all the ultimate weapons and then of course use Wakka's Attack Reels, make sure you get all 2's.... this will take him down severely fast... doing 9999 per attack is sketchy but it works.. Although none the less i'd rather do my 40k per hit minimum hehe.... Final Fantasy Ten OWNS..... it took me days of not sleeping to do all the Blitz Ball games for Wakka's weapon.... but let me tell you... HIGHLY worth it.... Wakka is by far the best thing their is.

I Tried Sins Head before i got all the items in the game and i got pardon my language but.. raped... hehe i died soo many times before i realized hey! i dont have any ultimate weapons or anything! So i spent alot of time doing that. If you have the time i'd recommend getting all of that... Tidus's Final Weapon is Fairly easy to get.



Oh and i would say never use Yojimbo... i think he is a waste he doesn't ever do that much damage..... i only got him because i wanted everything in the game. if you dont have time for the Ultimmate weapons i would suggest using Magus Sisters and Anima.
