I don't know where the guy that wrote the article got the info, but if it's referring to a US/European release date, Spring has been out for a while. The latest trailer just says it's coming to North America in 2005. Spring was just the Japanese release...

I'm sure if it was anything new (i.e. if it was about the Japanese release date), then that would've been stated in the article on IGN about the same press release. But theirs only talks about the one title per month goal.

September 1st in Europe is complete and utter lies. It's not even released in Japan yet, and won't be any time soon. Doesn't it usually take about a year after the Japanese release to get the PAL version out?

Either way, that release date just isn't happening.

those sort of websites like Play.com never know the true release date and make something up either because, their system does not allow a "No Release Date" or it is just to lure customers a bit.

No man, the article anounced it won't be released in the spring. The summer is still a possibility, but I think it will be released in the fall so people have a good amount of time to play it before PS3 comes out. (If Square is greedy they could release it close to the holidays)

IGN thinks it may get pushed to 2006. But personally I think KH2 will come out in summer (August maybe) and FFXII around November. When they say "between 2005 and 2006," I doubt they mean the beginning of 2005 and the end of 2006. It's possible, though.

I think it's fair to assume that information without a reliable source isn't worth believing, not saying the person is lying, they could be telling the truth, but I'm not going to get my hopes up because I'm going to blindly believe what someone tells me. /nod

Would you guarantee that it will be released before christmas in Europe? I have no idea how long past FF's have taken to be translated.

with the amount of time passed most of it is probably translated all square need is to perfect the voiceovers in the movie and carefully briefly check it which somehow takes months

Also remember they can't release FF12 to near to FF7:AD or FF7:DOC or KH2. Arrr wateva its all confusing. Just wait and be surprised.
