Best Battle System

So what does everyone think is the best battle system. Probably for me Final Fantasy. But the Grandia system works well. The vagrant Story system im not to fond of. What does everyone else think

FF10 had an ok Battle system but i liked the idea of leveling up which they flopped for that stupid sphere grid. FF X-2 brought it back was something. But they took the world map out of them two which i thought was the best bit about the FF series. Hope they hear the fans crys and give this series a drastic change

Tales of Symphonia. It was all the goodness of Tales of Phantasia battle system and, in my opinon, just upgraded it even more.

FFX-2.I find it one of the best battle systems ever..

Yeah, I'd say FFX-2 as well...Bahamut Lagoon is a very good system too,
but I'd say X-2 is probably the best RPG battle system I've come across.

For older games, Secret of Mana, SD3, Legend of Mana to some extent. FF:CC would be much better if it wasn't for the chalice, and in the recent games, Tales of Symphonia.

I dont know whether X-2 or VIII had a better system, because i REALLY liked X-2, but it wasnt as inventive as VIIIs.

FF X-2 had a good battel system but i still hated the game

Hmm...I don't know. FFVIII, X, and X-2 were some of my favorites. And as much as I hated that game, I have to admit that LOD did havea really fun battle system. Shadow Hearts as well. But I like Silent Hill too, because I like shooting the things. :)

I liked the Super Mario RPG battle system. It rocked hardcore. With the timed hits... oh yeah :D

I liked different parts of Grandia 2, Final Fantasy X. I consider VII to be the bones of RPG battle systems but thats more my personal opinion (first RPG). Star Ocean 3 is the most entertaining ever.

FFVII was a nice original battle system..i liked it alot...but FF10...was great...it alowed you to plan out everything and see who was going to go next...and FFX-2 just brought everything together it was also nice! ^_^b

Yer I guess I like the FF battle system the most cause those were the RPGs I first played. FFVII i liked the most

Final Fantasy Tactics. The name says it all. Come on, you can destroy an enemy party with MATH :Oo: You can't beat that.

I really like Final Fantasy VIII's battle system, it's my favourite. But I also like Final Fantasy VII's.
