Need FFXI information!!!

Hi, I'm not used to playing MMORPGs but after looking around the web about FINAL FANTASY XI I finally thought that it was time I bought it!!!!The problem is - I am getting confused with all the differetn information I am hearing about it. I know that there is a monthly fee and the pc game is roughly £30.00 but I'm not sure if there is anything else that I am not aware of.

Could some people please inform me of the ins and outs please???????

PS i'm from the UK so this might affect things a bit!

you need a credit card. um... its extra money per character. (you shouldn't need more than 1 until later because your character can change jobs. um... the first little while is free. (3 months? or 1 month? i dont remember)

Dassureth pretty much summed it up I guess. Your first month is free. You pay $12.95 a month here. I'm not sure how much you pay in the UK. It's an extra dollar here for every extra character you make.

if you play on the pc version are you limited by your ISP (internet service provider)
when i signed up with broadband my one said that I had a download limit and that i had 3 hours worth of gaming on playstation net or xbox live every month.
I'm not sure if final fantasy xi (or any MMORPGs) would actually apply to this limit.

Any enlightenment would be greatly appreciated. Thanx

Im in Windrust, Just completed my third mission and was just given Rank 2. No missions available right now so what exactly am I supposed to do?

Prolly does apply to your limit, call up your ISP. Oo

And er...even though its not the right thread once you reach rank 2 donate crystals to the W.W. guard. After enough rank points you can get more missions.
