Ultros vs. Kefka -- The Final Showdown

Who would win in a straight clean fight? Uncle Ulty, or Kefka? This is pre-Angelic Kefka, mind you. World of Balance, hasn't freaked out all the way yet Kefka.

So what do you think? I'm going for Ulty.

Well that's kinda one sided cos Kefka doesn't have tentacles. Ultros would kick Kefka's ass six ways (+2) from Sunday...

I think Kefka would have succeeded in the end if he had tentacles.

If the Mullet man voted for Ultros, feioncastor voted for Ultros, and I voted for Ultros... then who voted for Kefka? What exactly could Kefka do to Ultros? Run away him to death? Uncle Ulty could just jam a tentacle up Kefka's ass and use him as a clown puppet.

Perhaps Kefka would win in a laughing contest, but that's about it. Having said that, he did make light work of Gestahl and Leo.

Ultros would win though, even with one arm (or a few tentacles) tied behind his back. Don't forget, Ultros is good friends with Chupon so there is back up if he needs it.

I would have to vote for Kefka, though I like both. It mustn't be forgotten that even before WoR, Kefka had impresive magical power that would have cooked Ultros. After all Kefka did take down some powerful people, Leo and Gesthal.

I have to go with Kefka... Afterall look at what he did to all those espers in the WoB..... not to mention poor Leo.

Although in a coolness contest I don't know who I would go for.... leaning towards Ultros though

dude...you CANT beat ultros..throw your precious thunder bolts and your fire squirrels..that suckers not going down...yes siree no khalimary tonight baby...even though it does taste pretty good..and even though i dont think ultros is a squid...er..right..well if you couldnt tell im rooting for ultro :D ...i respect a man (er..water..breather..thing..octopus) that doesnt give up a FIGHT! (you fight him like..a heepin o many of times unlike kefka...who flees before even a grape *not a spoiler in case you were thinking that happens in the game*) HOWEVER i suppose kefka could just poisin the water and like..poisin ultros..but i dont know..it would be close but im stickin with ultros :cool:

Consider this. Throughout the game, you fight Kefka a few times, and Ultros even more times, I think. By the end of the game, Kefka is dead, and Ultros is living the high life at the colleseum.

That Terra fried him one time too many with her fire spells. I like Ultros, but Kefka's got a bunch of soldiers protecting him and has magic to send Ultros up the river. My vote's for Kefka.

I would like to remind people that a lot of Kefka's magic power (i.e. when he took on Gestahl, for example) came from the statues. In his normal form he's pretty weak, really.

He could use very deadly poison to kill Ultros just as he eradicated all Doma's population in few minutes like they're all insects :cool: :cry:

This is true. It's also the reason why Emperor Ghestal couldn't "put Kefka to sleep". The statues did most of the work for him. Now if Ultros had been at those statues...

Oh, comeon. I kinda hate Ultros, but he'll kick Kefka's ass to hell. What can Kefka do? call some soldiers? with one tentacle Ultros kill 'em all, and Kefka's gone.
It could be a really cool movie. We can even make the script. DB style.

I vote Kefka. I mean, Fire1 makes Ultros cry like a girl. Kefka has FIRE3. No contest.

Kefka has Fire2 in the form we're saying he'd be in. Given the stats Ultros has the last time you fight him, I think he'd waste Kefka quite easily.

Pre-WoR, non-Angelic Kefka? He's got Fire3, doesn't he? I thought I saw him use it on Leo.

You might be thinking of Ghestal, with the Fire 3. I think he tried Fire, Fire2, Fire3, Merton, Flare...all of it was soaked up by the statues. I don't know about Kefka.

I'd still say Kefka would win though. Ultros is a wuss, he never stayed until the fight was over, through the whole thing. He just ran off when he started getting hurt, that pansy. Kefka did the same thing, but at least he stayed for one fight.

Plus, Kefka has his minions, and an asston of magic. Without magic, Ultros would have it easily, but if you let 'em use magic, Kefka would win, hands down.

i go for ulty he had nice magic too when he was in the cave near thamasa, kefka was full of power but its too stupid to do something clever to crash uncle ulty

     Kefka. Any way I look at it the story made him seem like a terrible menace. Sure, he ran away sometimes but he usually was stalling for something. Also, did everybody forget how madly powerful he became in WoB Thamasa? I mean, he defeated all of those Espers without braking a sweat and even killed General Leo. Also, I've heard that the Field Sprite version of Kefka there has insane stats plus a Paladin shield. Ouch. Sure, Ultros did have Fire 3 by that time but so did that Red Esper that Kefka toasted. Ouch.
     Now if you're going to talk about Narshe Kefka, you might as well be fair and compare him to Lete River or Opera House Ultros. Considering the timeframes in which you fight them both that is. In that case, I'd still go with Kefka because he has Fire 2, a spell powerful enough that you don't even have access to yet and won't be beaten until the WoR. In addition to the power of the spell, Ultros just happens to be weak to fire which perty much spells doom for him there. Even pre-FC Ultros admits defeat with a few swift rounds of Fire 2 vollies to tell the truth.
      The other forms of Kefka are rather weak and Ultros would beat them down quickly but there's also the fact that Kefka's a dirty cheat. Even if he does technically lose, he'd find some way to make Ultros pay quickly afterwards.The poisoning of Doma, self imprisonment and the eventual betrayal of The Emperor are just a couple of examples of how low Kefka will go to achive his goals and how deviously dirty he can be. Also, unlike Ultros, Kefka's plans work. Here are a few examples of what I mean: Celes didn't get squashed with the eight ton weight, he didn't get to steal those golden statues, Chupon didn't destroy the party. I might as well mention how gullible Ultros is while I'm at it.Remember Relm incident? The one where Terra told Ultros to let Relm sketch 'im? Oi, I couldn't belive it when I first saw that. The poor guy, he must hate 10 year olds now.
     So yeah, I think that it's Kefka with no constest. It's not that I dislike Ultros or think he's a weak enemy, I just think Kefka's much stronger or at least portrayed as such. It's like Sephiroth Vs. The Turks. The Turks are very strong and powerful as is but Sephiroth's even stronger and always has been up until his death. Perhaps it's a main character/side character thing. *Shrugs Shoulders*
