In Japan people were given the chance to voice which Square-Enix game they wanted ported to the Nintendo DS when they purchased FF1 & 2: DoS. Unfortunately we didn't get a chance to vote in the US, so I thought I'd add the poll here to see what people think.

I'd rather see these games on the next GameBoy than on the DS.

Umm, I doubtt hat would go over very well here. I mean with a character like Jim we'd never get it.

FFIII. Although I don't care on what it's released, it just needs to get here and fast. It's really bugging me.

I'd rather see these games on the next GameBoy than on the DS.Whats the difference between gameboy and DS? The main feature for buying them in my eyes has always been how theyre portable. IS it cartridges or something?

DS has wireless capabilities and a touch screen as well as a microphone for more interaction in games. plus.. Dual Screens hence DS... if you ask me nintendo just wants to steal ur money... but eh...
the only readon i would buy it is for wireless gaming, when the PSP does that and plays movies, mp3s and photos :P
Not to mention... its illegal to use the DS on Airplanes.. baka nintendo >.<

Why is it illegal? Signals or something?I plan on buying a PSP as soon as possible though Ill be saving a while. Can you use a psp on airplanes?

PSP is usable on planes because connecting wirelessly is optional thank god.
Nintendo DS automatically connects no matter what and it will jam connections the pilot has with the crew down on the ground... COULD GET DANGEROUS!

The DS is not the successor to the GBA. Nintendo is still making a new GameBoy, which will be unveiled at E3 this year.
And stop talking about the PSP. This thread isn't about that.

blah di blah di blah blah :P sorry we'll stop
I agree with Kawaii, none of those games really need anything that is uniquely DS. They'd work just fine on the Gameboy Advanced or whatever the next one is. PLus, I don't see me getting a DS but still want those games again. :)

Tom Sawyer NEEDS to have the second screen and the mic input! Just think how drastically improved the gameplay would be! You would bark orders in a southern drawl, while the second screen could be a map!!! OMG WE NEED THIS GAME NOW!!!!

They already have that, it's called the SNES cartridge.

What is the reasoning given to gamers for us to buy a DS when a new Gameboy system is being made? Doesn't the DS play Gameboy games already?
Anyway I picked FFIII. It's the only one I never played, but I'm not going to drop $150 on a new system just to play one game, especially if DS is not the evolution of Gameboy. *cough*virtual boy
