Alright, I'm planning on getting FFXI, but I have some questions:

1) Should I get it on PS2 or PC?( I don't have online for PS2, yet.)
My PC system specs are
256 MB SD RAM
GeForce 4 64 mb Video Card
850MHz
Windows ME
Cable
and thats about it.

2)Will they be making "Time Cards" for FFXI? Cause my folks aren't to fond of having to use their credit card...

Heh, thanks for the help, but that Virtual Visa card, is still like a Visa card. I was wondering if they're gonna be making TIME CARDS, like for Ever Quest and stuff...

Well... Are there many other ways for underage persons to pay online games? I mean, apart from sending notes in an envelope.

Ps2 with a keyboard. Trust me, it is much much better.

Are the keyboards expensive?

Oh by the way, does ANYONE out there know if there are Time Cards for FFXI?!

Oh and another question:
Does the harddrive improve on your PS2's all around performace?

The hard drive is just there so that it can load game data faster than from the DVD, and so that you won't have to switch between the DVDs for the expansion packs. FFXI is just about the only game (outside japan anyway) which needs and utilises the hard drive.
Use this if you are unsure about your computer being powerful enough: http://www.playonline.com/ff11eu/multimedia/download/bench/

Untrue, there is basically little to no loading from the DVD, else i need all my 5 CDs for stuff. You install it but then patch over the files there, so in order to have the most updated FFXI Version, you have to install it in a Hard Drive because you cannot alter the DVD/CDs. The DVD is not used ever besides installing the files and for the POL ID, just like EQ and other MMOs. All information is stored on those files and patches that happen routinely overwite/add on.
