Have you noticed that the music in the actual game sounds a bit different that in soundtracks?
It bothers me, because when I hear a good music during the game, I would like to hear it from my computer, mp3-player or something as well. But when I download it, some and most of the music sounds worse than in the game. Why is that?

No idea. It sounds identical to me.

Are you downloading midi files?
Actually maybe its your player.

No they are not midi files. I downloaded them from this site.
And they sound like that in every player. I don´t know what might be causing that. For example from ff8 the man with the machinegun sounds different in my game. ??

Maybe you hear it different because of no sound effects like in the game like the magic spells and because of that different parts are defined better...

You are playing it on PC, aren't you.
(the game, not the music)

As I recall, the game uses MIDI, so it'll sound different on every soundcard. What you get on the downloads is what the designers intended the music to sound like (programmed in the playstation music format). Depending on your computer, the PC versions could sound better or worse.

Also, sometimes the soundtracks are changed a little, cleaned up, redone, that sort of thing.
