Seems like whenever the staff discusses a policy, no one checks to be sure the FAQ reflects that policy. This is, obviously, because we know no one reads the FAQ. Unless an issue comes up, and then someone quotes it to bite us in the ass. D'oh.

I updated the "Profanity" section of the FAQ, but I would like to know if anyone feels anything in the FAQ is unclear, inaccurate, or missing. If you disagree with a policy in the FAQ, feel free to briefly mention it here, and if its a bigger issue that needs discussing we can make a seperate thread for it.

Forum Rules

Registration to this forum is free! We do insist that you abide by the rules and policies detailed below. If you agree to the terms, please check the 'I agree' checkbox and press the 'Register' button below. If you would like to cancel the registration, click here to return to the forums index.

Although the administrators and moderators of {2} will attempt to keep all objectionable messages off this forum, it is impossible for us to review all messages. All messages express the views of the author, and neither the owners of {2}, nor Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd. (developers of vBulletin) will be held responsible for the content of any message.

By agreeing to these rules, you warrant that you will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-orientated, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws.

The owners of {2} reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread for any reason.

This is the current TOS. Let me know if we need anything added. I think we should add that "the owners, administrators and moderators of {2} also reserve the right to make any and all necessary changes to user accounts, posts, rules and other areas of this forum with or without notice, at their discretion."

Thanks to Del for giving the nice wording.

Just change the last like of the TOS to what you just said. It sounds better.

I take it that since this has been moved to Feedback for some reason that I should probably make that change you told me to make the other day. Or something.

I have always personally thought that the rules should be outside of Frequently asked questions. I just want to know the rules and not 32 billion other stupid things that I could deduce my way through. I alway look for a rules link and never find it. Maybe that could replace...open buddy list? That can at least be done from the User CP.

Like you haven't been told the rules often enough, ed. :D

You mean like this comment from rule 6

"Unless you’re a Mod, you shouldn’t be doing anything Mod-like."

AKA Don't follow the rules ^.^

It wasn't moved anywhere; I made it in Feedback, dummy. xD

by agreeing to these rules, you warrant that you will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-orientated, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws.

So according to the TOS, we can't post anything having to do with sex, drugs, or software piracy. I think half the board should be banned.

Yeah, we gotta keep our asses covered. Especially Kishi, lest the sight of his cause productivity to cease.

There are so many Staff threads lately that this one must have caught me by surprise.

Yeah, we gotta keep our asses covered.
Except for you, eh? You're safe from having to worry about your ass.

Yeah, my ass is banned. No need to cover it.
