I know a lot of people here hate rap/hip-hop, but I'm sure many of you have heard of Outkast.

But this thread is primarily here for Outkast fans. I think they're one of the most unique rap groups since Bone, with speed(but clear) rap that touches subjects such as a mother's daughter, Andre's day, etc. They extend on what rap should be about. They seem to be the most favorite hip-hop group among white people...outside of Eminem.

My favorite songs from Outkast are really not their popular ones:

B.O.B. - I dare anyone to listen to this song and not bang out to it.
Flip Flop Rock - One of the better songs on SB/TLB.
Church - I love this song, it's catchy and hilarious.
So Fresh, So Clean
Roses
A Life In The Day of Andre Benjamin

Love em or hate em, you can't deny their success.

I love Outkast :) They're my favourite rap/hip hop group. My favourite songs are:

The way you move
Hey ya
Roses
Ms Jackson

Outkast has style and unique-ness that really sets them apart from other rap/hip hop groups.

I've only heard their released stuff, but I certainly wouldn't say Outkast are like your 'typical' hip-hop/rap artists. Original and rather good methinks

Yea the reason why i find them appealing is that they have a unique originality to their songs...which is kinda hard to find these days and its quite refreshing.

I thought Outkast weren't classed as Hiphop or rap.

Most of the time they don't sound it.

big boi:
"Unhappy"
"Reset"
"ghetto muzik"
"church"

andree3000:
"vibrate"
"hey ya!"
"roses"
"prototype"

basically like almost ever song off speakerboxxx/the love below.

especially some of their old stuff off "Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik".

If you like Outkast, try listening to N.E.R.D they dont sound nothing like them, but its a mix of hip-hop/instrumental/pop. :)

Outkast is a real hit or miss group. I find most of their music annoying, but a lot of it is still good. Songs like "Rosa Parks," "Hey Ya," "B.O.B.," and "Dracula's Wedding" are their good ones. Their more upbeat, happier music with a solid flow. Needless to say, I'm a fan of them.

They are definitely much different from the bulk of the rap/hip hop crowd. I really like their music. And their videos are all very unique and creative..."B.O.B" was awesome with the purple grass and green streets. :D

So yea, they are cool. :<3:

I thought B.O.B., Roses, and So Fresh So Clean were all popular, DJ.

Outkast was a pretty good rap group. Then SB/LB happened, and André took his material off in some crazy new dimension, while Big Boi decided to actually keep rapping. I wouldn't consider Love Below a rap CD, but I still like it a lot.

From Stankonia, I liked the usuals: So Fresh So Clean, Mrs. Jackson, and B.O.B.
From Love Below, I liked Happy Valentine's Day, Roses, Dracula's Wedding, and My Favorite Things.

The albums themselves were pretty solid.

The only track from Aquemini I know is Rosa Parks.

Okay, so maybe Roses is popular, along with B.O.B. and So Fresh So Clean.

I should add The Rooster and Southernplaylisticadillacmusik. I also like Humble Mumble, and Vibrate. SB/LB is still one of my favorite albums though. But a lot of people think Aquemini is their best album.

Outkast has style and unique-ness that really sets them apart from other rap/hip hop groups.

It is known as creativity.

Though i can't deny the funky production mastery of Dre or The Neptunes.
