Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game.

And yes. Though they're not all RPGs.

Of course they're all RPGs - you role-play a character, and who that character is depends on who you want him to be. How much more role-playing can you get?

MMORPGs are such massive-scale internet RPGs such as EverQuest, FFXI, and Ultima Online.

In that regard, you could say that Super Mario Brothers is a roleplaying game, when it I would not regard it as such.

You have a very broad view of RPGs.

MMORPGs are the quintessiantial role-playing games, same as Morrowind and other such computer games. You're a character placed in the world, and who those characters are and turn out to be are entirely dependent upon the player and his choices. How does Mario factor into that?

If anything, your definition of RPGs(I'm assuming FF and the like) is much broader than mine.

Ok, I see where the confusion is.

You misinterpreted my "And yes. Though they're not all RPGs."

I said that in response to the original poster's question about the three new FF's.

...Ah, ok, I see now. xD

Yes, I thought you were still describing the MMORPGs.
