You can only fight them in the WoB, right?

I never knew there was a Tiamat in this game. Now I understand some of you are split on weather it's a rumor or not, but I remember the old man who mentions something about getting rid of the dragon on the Veldt. I forget if he says that in the WoB or WoR though.

I'm curious to know if he can provide a Rage, or if you can steal something good off of him. I read the other thread where someone said he drops an economizer, which would be nice before going to the floating continent.

You cannot fight Tiamat. That's a fact. The only way to access Tiamat is to hack the game.

You're think of the Brontosaurs,

I don't understand. Are you saying that there is a Tiamat in the game, or are you saying that the actual monster Tiamat has to be added through a hack?

In the course of normal gameplay, Tiamat does not exist.

There is no Tiamat in the game, and there never was. It's possible that someone made a hack of the game in which Tiamat was added using a sprite from Bahamut Lagoon, but it's more likely that it was just a screenshot edit.

I think the guy is talking about the "dragon" NORTH of the veldt meaning the dinosaurs in the forest near the veldt.

No one in the forums thinks that tiamat exists in FF6. If you're thinking of fig's post, make note, he is ripping the piss more often than not, so if something he says doesn't sound quite right, and you believe it, he will be laughing. Although he can be very helpful, he is a menace to newbies. Beware the laughing fruit...

One memorable (and funny) post of this kind by fig is in the thread "About the Books" (http://www.eyesonff.com/forums/showthread.php?t=50028)

I appreciate the warning.

I think I wanted to believe it more than anything.

I beat the hell out of this game when it first game out on SNES, and recently started playing the ROM version on my PC, and I came across this web page looking for the colloseum guide. I saw his post about Tiamat and thought I missed something; I remembered the Intangir...

well, you know.

To clear things up, you can get Intangir's rage, and it's really easy to beat him by using the Rhodox rage or Mog's Dusk Requiem dance to cast Snare, which is an instant kill. At 10 M.P. per fight, that rocks the WoB hardcore.

Something to keep in mind about any rumor you hear concerning the Final Fantasy games (especially those that are in ROM form) is that Game Sharks or other game code-hacking programs (or -- even easier -- simply breaking a ROM down into its scripted information) will reveal what's there. With Final Fantasy VI -- which has been broken down, turned upside down, and inside and out God only knows how many times -- if something was there, it would be well known and not some hidden secret that only one Person on a Forum was able to discover. Things like Tiamat being present in the game or Shadow having more than four dreams that will activate in Inns are total bullhttp://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gifhttp://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gifhttp://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gifhttp://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif.

The problem with fighting Intangir is he casts Meteo (not Meteor) on a random character when he dies. SO you have to make sure all your characters have 800+ HP if you want them all to survive.

I heard about that... The static on the tv screen should make out a button combination, if you look hard enough, that you put in when Sepheroth tries to make Cloud kill Aeris to make Cloud puts his sword through Sepheroth instead...

Wow this thread got salty and meaty quickly... If you don't catch my drift, SPAM!

I find that its easier to power up on the Floating Continent that playing around with Intagir.
